How do use this to find a satellite as apposed to a regular compass

You don't use it to find a satellite. You use it to find a direction and elevation so you can see if there is any obstruction between the satellite and the dish. A regular compass will not show you the elevation.

How does it compare to Suunto Tandem in terms of accuracy?

I've used both pretty extensively for satellite dish installation, I haven't noticed any noticeable difference in accuracy.

It contains both compass (magnetic) and inclinometer into an aluminium body. I'm very satisfied, the reading is very clear and the price is competitive.

In what country are these made?

Not sure of country of origin, but it reminds me of previous Danish-made compasses I have used. Same construction, and very accurate.
