SumUp Point of Sale Lite Payment Terminal/Register – 13” Full HD Touchscreen, Speedy Set Up, Fast & Flexible Checkout, No Contracts and now with End-of-Day Z Reports

I purchased this to go with the Sumup card reader that I use at craft fairs. The monitor was easy to set up and made life very easy for managing transaction. Quality,performance and appearance are excellent, I was able to connect direct to a electrical socket so can't comment about battery life. However it is really little expensive for what it is, but that aside i am pleased to have purchased this

We started a new small business and chose Sumup given the advertising hyp of it being a quick set up and the POS system looked like just what we needed, nothing could be further from the truth. Firstly we paid £8 for 48hr delivery and received the goods 10 days later! We did quickly create an online account with SUMUP ( this is easy to do) but were unable to activate our account so effectively we could not ' go live'. We contacted SUMUP online support and we were walked through the set-up steps only to find we had done everything correctly but we had not received an activation code from Sumup, this we were assured would be sent before the end of business the same day, frustratingly we waited, it didn't arrive. The next day we went through the same procedure with another online help rep and again we were promised an activation code.. nothing. We tried again the following day and this time we were told that SUMUP was 'having technical problems' and were 'unable' to issue us with an activation code, this time we were told that our problem had been referred to the Sumup priority support team who would be in touch very soon. Three more days passed, no contact, nothing, system sat on our shop counter unusable for over a week. Complaints we then made via Amazon were met with apologies from Sumup for the technical issues Sumup were experiencing but still no action or progress, so eventually after having got the 48hr delivery 8 days late, about 3hrs on the phone to India getting absolutely nowhere, numerous arrurances over the phone and by emails none of which came to fruition, we returned the goods. It gets better, Sumup tried to charge us for returning the goods AND 2 weeks after we returned it ( using 48hr guaranteed delivery) we had still not had a refund from Sumup so had to get back in touch with Amazon who promptly issued the full refund. As my title describes, total disaster. We went with a more established card company who delivered the goods in 5 days and the day the card machine arrived we were smoothly up and running with no problems since. Amazon support were excellent throughout.

easy to use but product is misleading. Does not product Z reports and even Sumup Customer Service confirms that

This is easy to set up.

Absolute rubbish signed up on app then verified email and then would t let me log in, kept saying error so reset password and then did same thing wouldn’t let me sign up as email was in use. Customer service is shocking web chat tell you to call then when you call they send you a link which is to login which I can’t do then phone goes dead. Sent straight back and had to go buy another as business due to open tomorrow. Avoid!!
