I know everyone else really wants to grow it out after using this, but for a truly honest before and after comparison, I shaved my entire head with a size #1 guard for both the before and after photos, so no styling tricks here. After six months of continued use twice a day, my hair really is thicker and darker even at this same short length. I'm very happy with the results, even though it didn't bring my hairline down at all as you can see in the pictures. I wasn't expecting this product to be a replacement for hair transplant surgery, and you shouldn't either. Despite what some users claim, minoxidil doesn't actually regrow hair where it no longer exists. It stimulates the hair you have, including those thin, wispy, barely visible hairs you didn't even know you still had. Over time, your hair will grow thicker and darker, and it'll look and feel like you have twice as much hair as you did when you started. And when you grow it out, that extra thickness will give you the freedom to style it in more ways and easily hide your receding hairline without exposing those unsightly thin areas. Or keep it short like me if your hairline doesn't bother you that much. It's not a cure for baldness, but I highly recommend minoxidil for men with thinning hair, tired of seeing their scalp peeking through no matter how they brush it, this really will help thicken and fill in those unsightly thin spots. I also recommend shaving your head when you first start using minoxidil. This product feels really greasy in your hair, and shaving it helps your scalp absorb it faster, making it more effective and less... gross. And personally, I found it extremely liberating to take charge of my hair by giving it a fresh start, since it's going to take awhile for minoxidil to do its thing, anyway. But if you want to keep your hair medium/long, it'll still work, just make sure you're applying it as close to the scalp as possible. And one last note: short or long, you have to keep using it. Indefinitely. I know that's a deal breaker for some, but if your intention is to find a long-term solution that only requires a temporary commitment on your part, then your best option is surgery.

4 Year Review: To anyone guessing if this product works; yes it does - with time. I recommend this to people who probably won’t be searching for this solution as they probably still have their hair - but that’s exactly the point. If used early on, this will help with hair loss significantly. It’s easier to keep it, than to start over. I started using this product when I noticed my hair thinning at the front hairline in late 2019. Within a few weeks I started noticing more hair falling out - but why?! It turns out that the hair you’re losing is already on it way out as it lacks blood flow and the only solution is for it to “shed” and make way for new hair. The new hairs will come in physically thinner than what you had before, so don’t expect hair like you’re in your teens again. Once you start, DO NOT STOP as then all the hair progress you made will begin to shed rapidly after about 45 days of discontinued use, give or take, everyone’s different. This product will help you keep hair that’s healthy and replace hairs that are dying or gone (but nothing drastic, this isn’t a hair transplant) So if anyone doubts if it’s working, you just haven’t been using it long enough. 3-6 months minimum to see what’s really going to happen.

I saw a 2 star review of a person with RA unable to open bottle(s), and they contacted Kirkland, recieving no help. I too have had this problem. A friend help open simply being stronger. I just recieved another years order, with a bottle missing and the clicking Pepto Bismal syndrome. Here's how you navigate this. You take a screwdriver. Jam the screwdriver up under between the lid and bottle and simply turn the screwdriver a half of circle. I repeat this again on the other side too. Now you have a normal lid that will open and close as expected. No spilling occurs from this.

I only use 1 application a day even though the directions say to apply it twice daily. I buy the 6-bottle packs for about $30 & each bottle lasts me about a month. That's only $5 per month! After using it about 2 yrs now my 4"-diameter circular comletely-bald spot is almost completely hair-covered. My barber noticed undeniable, significant hair growth in less than 3 months. I skipped applying it several times (5x or 6x?) for 2 or 3 days at a stretch with no noticeable loss. My regrown hair slowly starts falling out a little each day if I go much longer than this without applying it. Applying it every other day will easily maintain regrown hair. Applying it once a day for long periods is enough to cause ongoing continuous hair regrowth. I LOVE this stuff. It works & it's inexpensive. My vertex bald spot is a little thinner than the top & sides, but it's obviously not bald any more.

While topical minoxidil is proven effective for male pattern baldness and hair regrowth, I haven't seen any results from this. Despite using it twice daily for three months now (as recommended) I have observed no discernable changes to my hair growth. I'm not sure if this is a question of poor quality ingredients or what, but it's a little disappointing. That being said, it's priced very well and this comes with a six month supply.

One day while i was styling my hair i noticed a bald spot the size of a dime while parting my hair, i previously parted my hair in the same style a month prior and that bald spot wasnt there. Of course I panicked fearing the worst, that the bald spot would get bigger, not knowing why it happened made me even more worried, so first i applied ringworm medication to the bald spot to make sure it hadn’t been caused by a fungus or ringworm, after all i do have 3 dogs that play outside, since fungal scalp infection require a oral funal medication i even went to my doctor and had her prescribe a 2 week dosage. Once i ruled out/ or treated my scalp with that medication i moved on to the business of regrowing the bald spot. At first i used sulfer 8 grease and blue star ointment which are both medicated non prescription treatments, i didnt see much hair recovery so i started using the kirkland mens 5% monoxidil, yes i am a women using the mens version. I apply it twice a day maybe sometimes even 3 times, my 6 month supply will probably last 3 months as much as i use it, lol. But it definitely works, consistency is the key, not only is my bald spot growing in but the rest of my hair has gotten thicker and longer it took 9 weeks to see these results
