I had an issue with 2 batteries. They reached out and promptly said they were replacing the def batteries. You can't ask for better service then that.****I had high hopes for these batteries for door locks. The cinstant 1.5v is nice its actualy about 1.54v. However my lock stopped working in abkut 3 weeks. I checked the voltage and found 2 batteries were still at 1.52v. Great, but 2 were at 0v. Not good.Why did 2 of the 4 die while 2 still had full.charge. i tried to charge the 0v batteries but no luck. Seems they are dead.Now i have 6 batteries out of my 8 pack and my lock takes 4. I cant swap a set out like i planned. When the locl dies, ill have to full charge the batteries or buy more to ha e a 2nd set of 4. That defeats the purpose of buying an 8 pack.I hope more dont die as well. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ So far so good! *by J***S on May 12, 2025* I've been using these in various devices for about six months with no complaints. Recently my wife revealed that her personal CD player, using NiMH rechargeables, would die after just a few hours use. I loaned her a couple of these and she reports that they last at least twice as long. They're also quick and easy to recharge with the bundled charger.I like that their output voltage starts higher than NiMH and does not gradually decay in use, as NiMH batteries do. If the documentation is to be believed, they run at full voltage until exhausted. This is more important in some devices than others, but is never a bad thing. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Delivers reliable, consistent power *by P***T on November 9, 2023* These batteries are being used to power a ROMI robot, an aide to programming using FRC's WPILib environment. When fully charged these batteries output 1.5 VDC, and that output remains constant until nearly fully discharged. In contrast, Ni-Mh batteries only output ~1.3 VDC when fully charged, and they decline from there until effectively exhausted at maybe 0.9 VDC. The higher output and the better consistency from Li-Ion batteries is very beneficial for this application, especially for tuning PID control loops. Varying voltages will change the robot's response, making control loop tuning frustrating.Of course, other brands of Li-Ion batteries should provide the same advantage, if of equal quality, but I cannot comment on them because I only have experience with these Hixon AA 1.5V batteries, for which I have been and remain very satisfied. I would recommend them for any use benefitting from a consistent portable voltage supply.The first buy was made in June 2021, and the latest buy (to support a 2nd ROMI) was made in Nov 2023. Both purchases consisted of 8 batteries plus charger. For both orders all batteries received charged perfectly, and to date the batteries from the earlier buy have been through over a hundred discharge/charge cycles without any failures. Hixon's charger was used exclusively. Regarding battery life, the runtime in a ROMI is maybe 1.5X the runtime provided by 1900 mAh Ni-Mh eneloop brand batteries, but with the advantage of consistent performance. One disadvantage of the Hixon charger is that it only holds 4 batteries, but with two I can now utilize both in parallel, very useful since a ROMI requires 6 batteries.
