Very nice taste. Check the nutrition label
delicious. I have tried 5 different brands of Ube powder in the last week. This is the only that actually tastes of Ube. The others had no tastes whatsoever, it was like eating chalk. There is 40% of sugar in this powder, 90% carbs, and 350kcal per 100 g. country of origin is Malaysia, not the Philippines.

The real deal: Easy to use and tastes great
This is real ube. Purple yam, and not sweet purple potato. It’s easy to use and just needs a bit of hot water (or milk) so you can incorporate into drinks and all kinds of food. It’s very smooth even when prepared and consumed this way. This powder has a bright purple colour, a vibrant aroma, and distinctly natural ube flavour (which you can’t really get from those synthetic liquid flavourings/colourings). It’s also better than frozen grated ube which I’ve tried before and I think the grating, freezing, and thawing process combined destroys some of the aromatic compounds in the ube. (Obviously fresh is best but that’s hard to find in the UK.) For drinks I use 10g of ube powder.
