Okay do the math. I bought 2 Hercules stands guitar stands made to hold 3 guitars. That means I have room for 6 guitars, right? But now I have 8 guitars sitting comfortably on them! Thanks to this little accessory for very little money, I was able to put 1 small footprint acoustic and 4 electric-sized guitars on one stand. The other stand has 3 normal sized acoustics so I might be able to get another electric on that someday. But if they were all electrics, I could get 2 more of these extension packs and fit 5 also. So those 3 unit stands are really 5 unit stands for another 20 bucks. And if you get the 5 unit stand I'm sure you can get 7 or 8 on those. Well worth the extra $10, easy to install; just 2 clips and 1 screw and you can custom fit your rack to accommodate another axe. Highly recommend Hercules products.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I don’t know why people who have really expensive guitars put them in a cheap, “overseas built” rack. Ok, that was me before I realized that cheaping out on a rack for my guitars was stupid. Each instrument is multiple thousands of dollars yet I spent less than $50 on the cheap rack which, after putting it together, realized the error of my way. I then invested in this Hercules rack with these extra holders so I could get 5 guitars at a time in the rack. Works great.

Fits my stand perfectly and expanded my five guitar rack to seven. Great product.

More room for guitars? Scary! But seriously: easy to install. A little tricky compared to the ones pre-installed because the U-shaped part is way tighter. It cannot move as freely, but once you know that you need to have your screwdriver in hand, it’s easy enough.

Bought two of these for my Hercules gs523b, they’re so easy to install & excellent addition to add more guitars safely. They’re built just like the materials of the ones the stand originally came with & hold the guitars without affecting the finish. Nice feature to even store picks..my three guitar stand is now a five guitar stand & couldn’t be happier.

I like these better than the ones that come with the stand because you can adjust how tightly they grip the bar. I purchased two of these for the smaller Hercules 3 guitar sand to allow me to hold 5 guitars

Does what it's supposed to do

Anyone looking to store Gibson guitars or other guitars with temperamental finishes, go hercules. They're solid and non-reactive. This was easy to add to my stand and now I can display more guitars than I should own. Its rock solid and while its a bit more expensive than some budget brands, its better than paying for guitar repairs or having a damaged finish.

Rather expensive add on but turns a 5 guitar stand into a 6 guitar stands which in the end saves me money over buying another single guitar stand. Product installs easily and look good. Hercules products are well made and worth the extra cost over cheaper ones.
