Good quality and cures feeding issues
I have two air rifles which are magazine fed and both have issues with feeding most standard pellets so I decided to switch to slugs for easier feeding. So far so good.

Great for Varmints
First off, this may not be a fair review for the Apolo slugs. This is my first foray into slug shooting from my PCP rifles. They do shoot different from even the same weight pellets. They seem to be made for longer range shooting, say out to 100 yards or more, and are not as effected by the winds much as standard shaped pellets. I did get my Avenger .25 dialed in at 45 yards with them, and they are very effective on mid size pests like trash pandas and coyotes. You have to be careful with them though, as they will ricochet, and over penetrative, so keep in mind what's behind your target!

Hit like a freight train
The sound these thing make when they connect it unreal. My Hatsan Flash loves these things. Accuracy is great as well. At around 40yds I can send a couple of these through the same hole on a target The quality of these is not the greatest but, my Hatsan still eats them up

Did not shoot well in my gun.
At 25 yards my Barra 1100z PCP can shoot a dime size grouping with the pellets it prefers. I've played with about 5 other pellets and can get decent groups with a couple of them, like down to quarter size. These slugs litterally don't group for me. I mean they shoot randomly left and right with a spread of 4-5 inches. It probably ties with the worst pellets I've tried. To be fair, I didn't even try to tune my gun for them simply because I didn't think it was worth mybtime. I really only tried these because I was hoping to find a heavier, accurate slug for more energy.

If you air gun can handle slugs, these are a great value.
Consistent, shot to shot. My Zelos Loves these. I set the reg to 2,100 PSI and it throws these at 920FPS with an extreme spread of 15FPS and a std dev of 4FPS over 30 shots.

This pellets info .
Most of the questions about this slug is not answered so I will try to answer it here . Will this slug work or fit in my gun ? This slug is 6.8 mm long compared to the crosman premier hp that is 6.5 mm long . If your clip will hold a 6.8 long slug then it will work in the clip . The most important info you need to know is , does your gun have enough power to push the pellet out of the barrel and not get stuck in the gun . This is just an example so you will have to enter your guns fps with a slug or pellet you use now . Most gun company's give you a fps with a pellet weight . For example 950 fps using a 14.5 grain pellet . If you want to know what the fps would be with a 21 grain slug you have to use this formula to make sure its safe to use before you load it in your gun . M1V1 = M2V2 Where: M1 = mass of the first pellet (14.5 grains) V1 = velocity of the first pellet (950 fps) M2 = mass of the second pellet (21 grains) V2 = velocity of the second pellet (unknown) Rearrange the formula to solve for V2: V2 = (M1/M2) * V1 Convert grain weights to grams 14.5 grains ā 1 gram 21 grains ā 1.3 grams Now, plug in the values: V2 = (1/1.3) * 950 fps V2 ā 0.769 * 950 fps V2 ā 730 fps So, approximately 730 fps for the 21-grain pellet . As long as your fps is above 300 fps with the 21 grain slug it will come out of the guns barrel . As far as accuracy ,it all depends on the rifling of the barrel . The only way to know for sure is to try the slugs in your gun if the fps is fast enough . The other question is can you hunt with is slug . For hunting you need to know the fpe needed to kill the animal .There is a chart on line that shows the fpe needed for small game . For example squirrels and rabbits you need 4.5 fpe ,raccoons 9 fpe red fox 10 fpe . If your guns fps is 700 fps with a 21 grain slug the fpe at the barrel is 22.84 fpe . At 50 yards its 13.26 fpe . So as long as you keep your shots 50 yards or less you can kill a red fox out to 50 yards away . A good program to download is chairgun to know your fpe at any distance out to 300 yards .

Knocked šæļø down with one shot
I hunt squirrels with a 22 caliber pellet rifle. These pellets are very accurate and hits a squirrel like a slug hitting a deer. If you like hunting with a pellet rifle or just shooting targets these are the pellets for you. I recommend this product and Iām getting low on pellets so I will be ordering more soon. Practice shooting with a pellet rifle helps hone your skills for hunting!!!!!
