I recently started using NOW Alulose Sugar, and I’m thoroughly impressed! It’s a fantastic low-calorie sweetener that works well in almost all my recipes. The texture is very similar to regular sugar, making it easy to measure and use. I’ve baked cookies, muffins, and even made homemade ice cream with it—and they all turned out amazing. The taste is mild and not overly sweet, which I actually prefer. There’s no weird aftertaste like you get with some other sugar substitutes, and it caramelizes nicely when heated. A small downside is that it’s a bit pricey compared to regular sugar, but considering the health benefits and versatility, it’s worth every penny. This is a quagmire of a product... It is wildly sweet but then disappears from the tongue...not aftertaste of it happens - nada. The texture lol well, it strikes me more of a powdered sugar consistency because it is such a fine powder like sugar. It dissolves quite easily, and baking with it will be something to get used to, as it doesn't impart the typical "sugar" hit, and to be honest, I miss that moment...it caused me to become aggravated. Once my banana bread was done, everyone thought I cut back on the sugar, but it was the same amount as regular cane sugar that I had used previously. If you bake consistently, then this is not going to be any value for the money.

It’s a good sweetener (not artificial) but I found I needed twice as much as regular sugar to sweeten my coffee, so you’ll blow through it fast.

It's just not sweet enough. I know that it's only about 70% of the sweetness of sugar but it just didn't work for me. Won't buy again

So much better than cane sugar. Zero calories and it's a pre-biotic! I believe that's called a Win-Win! Only negative is that it's a little pricey.

Tastes like sugar and has the same feel. No weird aftertaste. I've tried many sugar substitutes and none were close to the taste of real sugar and they were so intense getting the right amount was tricky. This product just a bit less sweet than sugar but you can just use a little more. I'm altering my diet to eliminate sugar and this product will let me continue to enjoy sugar taste without compromising and have zero calories. Also, it's made from corn, not some strange chemical. It exceeded my expectations and I'm very happy!

BEWARE!! I wanted to love this product, but the first two weeks I used it (small amounts in my 2 cups of coffee daily) I started feeling terribly ill (terrible digestive issues, and at night a racing heartbeat and a miserable headache upon waking). For the next two weeks I quit drinking coffee (and Allulose) until I felt better. Started coffee again last week and felt fine/good! —. But yesterday I added the Allulose to my coffee again and last night became very ill during my sleep with the SAME exact symptoms. I am now certain the Allulose was the cause. So, BEWARE!! ☠️🤢

Tastes great! A very good alternative for people on the Carnivore diet and for those with T2D, on special occasions.
