It's a legit dual probe k-type thermocouple at a bargain price. I picked this model because it is calibratable (though only single-point, iirc). I've worked as a professional metrologist. This will accurately read a very wide range of temperatures and do so instantly and repeatably. If I was using an instrument like this all day everyday I'd want something more robust like a Fluke meter. I'm not sure this thing would survive too many drops on pavement.

This thermocouple-based thermometer seems pretty accurate. I used it to check the temperature in my kitchen oven. The oven setting was 30 deg too hot, so we're adjusting the settings to compensate. I have not checked it against any other thermometers, so I cannot vouch for its accuracy.

I really like this product and it works well for what I need. The materials feel durable and it looks great in my space. Setup was quick and everything functioned smoothly right away. The performance has been consistent and I can tell it’s made with care. My only issue is that the instructions could be clearer, which made the initial setup a bit confusing. Once I figured it out, it worked perfectly. It’s a reliable and well-made item overall, just needs better guidance out of the box.

Seems accurate, every skin temp. I held onto the thermocoupler and it got to around 97F. I got my foundry up to 2050F but then the ceramic thermocoupler started to fail and it stopped reading the correct temp. I can’t fault this tool because, really, I am new to this. Lol. So far so good and if I have any issue I will edit this review. Oh! PS I think they updated the instructions. They seem ok.

It worked fine… to start with. Kept in case in padded drawer. After the 5th use one of the wires quit working properly. It’s about 80 degrees off. If you can’t trust your equipment, might as well get rid of it. Sad.

Easy to use. Feels sturdy and the temperature readings are accurate. You can offset the temperature to fine tune it.

Decent thermometer, not quite "instant read" but good enough. Accurate readings, nice form factor and comes with a case.
