Grand patio Balcony Umbrella, 6x4 FT Rectangular Outdoor Umbrella，Patio Umbrella with 360 Degree Roating Knob

This is a spectacular product with its ability to rotate 360 degrees to block sun at any angle. Unfortunately, is is too big for my small apartment balcony, but it is exaxtly the kind of sun shade I need. I was so excited to find it and now equally disappointed to have to return it. You won't be disappointed with function, form or operation Well made, easy to use. Better than an umbrella because it's adjustable!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I bought this for my 12’x8’ balcony. I get lots of morning/afternoon sun that was killing a couple of my plants and making it uncomfortable to enjoy my balcony in the AZ summer. We aren’t allowed to put up curtains on the balcony at our apartment so this was the next best alternative. I love that this doesn’t take up extra space on the ground by needing a base- this holds up well on the bars. It’s aesthetically pleasing, it matches perfectly with the balcony colors, the price was right and very pleased with it. I am not sure about wind or pressure during major storms so I will be sure to just close the umbrella (probably safer do that anyway.) overall it is very sturdy and not cheap looking. When I received the package I was excited to put it together. I was very confused to see the parts that came with it. It didn’t look like any of the other items I saw on the site or from the reviews which confused the heck out of me. Maybe it’s a different vendor or they updated the product design for balconies. I had to look for competitors who eventually had the same product I owned that cost more but it helped me figure out how to set this thing up! Either way, I was disappointed with what I received cause event the instructions confused the heck out of me. Eventually after about 45-50 minutes we figured out how to maneuver the device to make it work. I do recommend having power tools to make the screws tight. The screws stick out a bit from the outside but it may be to adjust to different types of balcony bar widths I’m guessing. Once this was set up my husband and I were very pleased so I do recommend getting one for your condo/ apartment!

Very happy with this product…it was easy to assemble and seems very sturdy

Initially it is/was a great umbrella to block the sun from our back porch. Unfortunately after two summers only of use, being put up daily and taken down each night and in storms or strong winds, the umbrella has now torn at the top. Also, over time, the stem and ball allowing adjustments has gotten too slippery cause the umbrella itself to move too easily with the slight wind. we have tried various ways to keep it in place, but it as though the ability to tighten it has basically stripped limiting the tiltability. as a result, while it works, the cost for a mere 8 months or so of use...with indoor storage in off seasons makes it difficult to give it more stars.

Oh my goodness, I spent a few years not spending much time on my balcony in the summer months in Minnesota as my place faces the south and I get a ton of sun in the summer along the Mississippi River. I finally purchased these umbrellas for my patio this year and I spend 3-6 hours on my balcony most days. They are so easy to install (I did buy the brackets to attach to my railings). I’m spending more time outside listening to tunes, watching the hummingbirds, reading in my zero gravity chair (I got this on Amazon too), and watching the world go by. This has been such a blessing to my mental health. I highly recommend these umbrellas if your soul is craving shade and the outdoors. If I could select 1000 stars, I would do that but I can only give a five star rating.

Better than I expected. The color is beautiful, the fabric is quality, and the stand attached to my apartment porch balcony perfectly. It is very sturdy. Where I live I have strong winds that blow straight through my porch, so it has to stand up to strong winds. I was concerned about it holding up and it has done great. It stops the wind from blowing through my open sliding glass doors and blocks the sun that beats onto the porch all day. I love it!

Maybe I read the instructions incorrectly, but the umbrella spins inside the railing holder. I had to secure it with bungee cords so it would be more secure. Maybe buy a base or a separate umbrella holder device. Otherwise, I love how low profile it is when folded up.

Update: I really liked the first umbrella that I purchased, and it does work well for blocking sun. I ordered a second umbrella for my deck, which is very small, and couldn’t find anything better than these umbrellas. I actually think I’m going to order a third one! I purchased this umbrella for a small deck with extreme sun exposures such far, so good. Very easy to assemble and use. It tilts and spins around so it can block the sun in many different directions. It can also be lowered and raised to different heights to help block the sun. Haven’t used it yet to block the rain, but will eventually. Liked it so much I just ordered another. Wish there more sizes and colors to choose from
