I've been really impressed with this camera so far! I've had it mounted on an outside wall for almost 12 months now and it's been perfect. I bought it to replace another IP camera from a different manufacturer, that despite being 'waterproof' really wasn't at all. It died after a few months. This one is easy to mount, and the mounting base was the same diameter as the previous camera so there was no more drilling needed on this occasion. The camera is easy to set up following the instructions, although I did have to make sure my router assigned the camera a static IP, or a very long lease time to the camera. The camera is really easy to access remotely, using the Reolink app on my phone, and, as long as I have a decent connection on my phone, the playback/live view quality is excellent. The audio, during playback, or live view is also really good. The motion detection is perfect and when playing back clips, you can filter the clips to only show specific types of detected motion. I have the camera set to record 24/7 onto the micro-SD card (you need to purchase one separately, and it needs to be a large capacity, fast one) and it'll store about a week's worth of recordings on the 128GB one that I've used (of course how many clips your SD card will store is going to depend on several factors). You can also adjust the quality stream of playback/live view if your remote connection isn't too fast. Daytime quality is superb, and night time isn't too bad either. I also have a LED motion detecting floodlight that covers the same area as the camera, so if there was motion detected, the light would come on too, which would make the night recordings even clearer. Using the app on desktop or mobile, you can configure all sorts of options, such as only to record at specific times or days/with audio/without audio/quality/specific types of motion etc. It's all really very good! The camera feels of a very good quality and I would think due to the weight and feel of it, it's constructed from a metal cylinder which is then coated. The camera connects to my 5GHz Wi-Fi with no issues, and the connection is more stable than myself! There is a limit, obviously, as to how far you can mount this camera away from your router, and it doesn't seem to work well using a Wi-Fi extender, I've tried a few, and the extender will continually drop the connection with the camera; when the camera is connected directly to the router, the connection is constantly solid Also think carefully about how you're going to mount it - I've read a few reviews where people have drilled a 25mm hole in the wall to pass the network connector through; you don't need to do this, you can fix a junction box to the wall (see photo) and tuck the reset and network cables away in there and you only then need drill a 8mm (I think that's the diameter?) through the wall for the mains adapter (of course you may not even have to do that if you can feed the mains adapter cable through a window frame for example). So apart from fixing the base plate to a surface, no additional drilling may be required. I've also just noticed that Reolink also sell a specific junction box for mounting this camera (I'm sure they didn't when I bought mine) so that would make mounting even quicker, easier and tidier. I'm definitely going to purchase at least one more of these as I'm really impressed with it and it looks as though it's going to be a doddle adding more cameras using the app. This model seems to be 'on offer' frequently and can be purchased for around £50 most of the time which is a bargain.

I have in total of 3 Reolink cameras in my house two 4MP-410w and one 5MP- 511w it all started with buying a Chinese PTZ camera which was ok for a time and then I decided the images at night where rubbish and also the features it offered where not that great. I researched WiFi CCTV and I did not want to spent too much money but I wanted something great but I thought I would never find it and then Bam I found Reolink this cameras are simply great in terms of features and ease of use and the prices are great too I have the 5MP at my front door and it has 3x zoom and I use two 4MP at the back garden one is for my pond so I can view my Koi whenever I want :), now that they have come up with new models I decided to buy the new version of the 410w the 510w which is 5MP for my moms front door and let me tell you 1MP makes a difference as you can see the images are clear the night vision would be great too but I can’t show that because my mother’s house has a street light which is on all night but if you look at the night vision from my 410w just imagine how much better the 510w would be. I wish I found REOLINK before I spent 120 pounds on a Chinese PTZ camera because they do offer a really good PTZ camera too maybe I will get my hand on it someday soon and do a review on it. This cameras are the best out there no compromise on quality and features did I mention the new 510w has got an Ai feature that recognises cars and people therefore that will give you less false alarms if you have notifications on, the only feature I wish it had is two way talk you can only record sound with the 510w but if you are looking for two way talk they offer other models and also if you check their website they are coming up with brand new models with flood lights which will be releasing soon and they also offer 4K sd card recording cameras too , this company makes putting in security cameras around you home as easy as baking a pie all you need is a POE cable and done or you can get a completely wireless solar powered cameras, do not make the mistake to look anywhere else Reolink is the way to go thank you Reolink for this great cameras. P.S they didn’t pay me for this review or give me free stuff I am just that excited about their products give them a try you will not be sorry. The person that had the overexposure problem you have to go to the display options go down to dynamic mode and turn it slightly down then you will not have the problem it is easily solved if you adjust the display settings I had the same issues solved in in two minutes no need for the bad review if you luck the fix and also ask reolink for help they would be more than happy to solve the issue for you good luck.

Good cameras. Easy to setup with the app and give a bright in focus display. Two annoying things with them though. Firstly, dealing with the permanently fixed short cable coming from the unit with the three plugs/sockets on the end of the wire is a very poor design and to my mind plain 'penny pinching' and also leads to annoying installation issues. The power cable can be permanently attached but the the other two should surely be detachable from the unit to allow for straight-forward installation with waterproof caps for the terminals when appropriate. Secondly, the app should have a facility to enable the app and units to be put into 'sleep' or 'shut down' mode when not needed to stop unnecessary phone battery power being used.

Das macht einen echten Unterschied, wenn es mal um die Identifikation von Personen oder Fahrzeugen geht. Die Kamera unterstützt sowohl 2,4 GHz als auch 5 GHz WLAN – super praktisch, wenn man sie flexibel im Netzwerk einbinden will. Die Wi-Fi 6-Funktion sorgt für stabile Verbindungen, selbst bei größeren Distanzen oder mehreren Kameras im Einsatz. Kein Ruckeln, keine Aussetzer. Wer eine zuverlässige Außenkamera für Home Assistant (HA) sucht, ist hier goldrichtig! ✅ Die entscheidenden Vorteile für HA-Nutzer: Perfekte Home Assistant Integration: Die Einbindung über RTSP/Onvif in Home Assistant (oder über die Reolink-Integration) ist kinderleicht und läuft absolut stabil. Die Kamera liefert zuverlässig den Live-Stream und ist perfekt für Automatisierungen und die Nutzung über Dashboards geeignet.
