I am a mechanic who has been crimping terminal ends for years. This tool does a excellent job if used properly. First off, sometimes a 2/0 cable is to loose in a 2/0 terminal end so try using a 1/0 end or strip a extra 3/4" and fold over some wire strands and cut off the extra to get a snug fit. 2nd. don't try to over squeeze, once the die blocks touch each other any extra pressure will only blow the seals. Lastly if you feel it should be a little tighter you can switch to the next smaller die and give it a little final squeeze. Install shrink tubing and heat for a top notch job as good as a factory crimp. I am very pleased with the tool.

I bought this crimper to use for wire fencing crimps. It works great, and is much easier to use than the typical bolt-cutter type of crimper. One thing it could use is a return spring on the pump handle to allow easy one-handed operation.

Some tools you want to spend a lot of maoney for, but for what this does, it is reliable and cost effective. Remember not to over do the crimpon the die once it is extended and cause the seals to blow (o-rings). I recommend it.

Purchased this to install a car audio system. I really am not impressed. The dies provided didn't make crimps like shown in the video. Maybe the 4 gauge wire was too small for the 16 die but I made it work. The tool is difficult to use due to the round body. Holding the wire to be crimped AND trying to pump the tool one handed is tough. If the tool had a built up "flat" bottom to sit while working it would make this tool a much better option.

The only drawback was there is no way to mount it. I used a couple hose clamps to attach a 2x4 long enough that I could clamp one end to something. This way a person can pump and hold the wire and terminal at the same time.

I did a complete rewiring on my sailboat from the batteries to the circuit breakers using 2AWG tray cable. The hydraulic crimpers made installing the terminal end a piece of cake and very professional looking. They'll be a permanent addition to my boat tool locker.

Excellente pince, très puissante, parfaite pour sertir des cosses de batterie par exemple. Si vous avez besoin de sertir des fils souples de plus de 4mm2 c'est l'outil adéquat. Pour obtenir un sertissage impeccable il faut juste utiliser les bonnes cosses (section de cuivre) et les mâchoires correspondantes. Je recommande.

Muy fácil de usar y ha funcionado muy bien, sin gran esfuerzo, para clavar cables de acero en tensores.

Zuerst war ich wegen der verschiedenen negativen Rezensionen sehr skeptisch die Presszange zu kaufen, aber jetzt bin ich absolut froh, die Crimpzange zu besitzen. Anhand meiner Bilder kann man das Pressergebnis des kleinen Werkzeugs gut nachvollziehen - da gibt es nix zu meckern! Wenn die 'Profi-Künstler' chinesische Presshülsen mit geringer Wandstärke anstatt DIN-Hülsen verwenden, kann die Maschine nichts dafür. Ich habe beide, die preiswerten Asia- und die DIN-Typen ausprobiert, das Ergebnis ist gleich gut. Man muss das Gesenk entsprechend kleiner auswählen (egal was darauf steht), wenn man weniger Material zusammen quetschen will. Der Ventilmechanismus arbeitet extrem feinfühlig. Wenn man die leere Hülse einspannt und diese etwas schief sitzen sollte, kann man die Backen minimal damit lockern um den Sitz zu korrigieren. Dabei richten sich die etwas beweglichen Gesenksteine schön aus und man kann das Kabel einführen. Selbst ein erheblicher Druck aufs Kabel, damit es das Ende der Hülse erreicht, ist leicht 'zweihändig' durchzuführen. Die Gesenksteine werden sicher aber beweglich durch Magnete an Ihrem Platz gehalten und sind einfach auszutauschen. Selbst provoziertes Schütteln der Zange lässt kein Herausfallen zu. Einziger kleiner Nachteil: die Box (nicht die Zange) könnte man etwas anders ausführen. Da der Crimpkopf drehbar ist, sollte er rechts wie links gedreht in die stabile Box passen.

Gediget verktyg men fler storlekar för krimpning. Fungerade mycket bra till det den köptes för. Kan ibland klämma snett då spåret för insatserna inte är tillräckligt djupt.
