Perfect barb fitting installer
I work at a paving manufacturer. We use barb fittings for fuel lines and hydraulic hoses. I was able to find a cheap plastics tool for the straight fittings, however 90, 45, 30 degree fittings would not work with the cheap plastic tool. I have been looking for alternatives tools or lubes to slide the fitting on the hose. The hose manufacturer also told us we needed to use their lube. It didn’t work. When I first saw this item I wasn’t sure if the tool would work with the other fitting. This tool will work with hoses from 1/4 to 1 inch. This item works perfect for what we were needed. My work reimbursed me for the tool and ordered five more. I love love love this tool. Well made tool. Not cheap plastic. Thank you KoulTools !!!!!!!!

Expensive Item but pays for itself in time savings
I got tired of making up 3/8 Poly Hose Assemblies for water and air lines for my molds at work. This tool is ab absolute joy to use and a major time saver. Gone are my days of swear at barbed hose fittings trying to insert them into poly hoses. If I lost this I would buy another but this is really a personal choice.

Only if you know how to use it
We use these at are work and lots of people use impact with them and they tend to break and I've rebuilt plenty and I think for the price it should be made a little more sturdy

this tool - while expensive, is the right tool for the job, I've only had it 5 minutes, but it has already just about paid for its self, it makes the task of 'pushing' the hose onto a fitting much easier, infact, the tool does the 'heavy lifting' so to speak, instructions are easy to follow, the first thing I did was to give it some extra oil - on every part that moves, next, position a fitting, clamp the hose - instructions say to add a 1/4'' longer than the fitting, I found 5/16"(8mm) worked best for me, and guide the hose onto the fitting as you wind the 'clamp end' to the fitting end, I use an electric 3/8'' ratchet, - it works perfectly, there's a lot of force involved, when doing AN-10, I ended up with clamp marks and slight cut/marking from the clamp on the hose, due to having to wind it up so much to get the hose all the way on properly, and I used a little heat on the big hose as well, remember, a little heat - from a heatgun, i should have bought one a dozen cars ago....................
