"When I left, I was but the learner. Now, I am the Master."
I purchased both this set [TLJ Ahch-To Island Training] as well as the most obvious set it is compared to, TESB Yoda's Hut. Both of these sets are modular builds with the centerpiece being the dwelling place of a Master Jedi and his padawan learner. I was expecting not to like this set as much as I would Yoda's Hut based solely on the strength of the particular scenes they depict in the Star Wars mythos. Whereas Yoda's Hut is an iconic scene in cinema history, and Yoda's vivid description of the Force is one of the most quoted scenes in all of Star Wars-dom, the Ahch-To Island scenes from TLJ is often derided as being inconsistent with Star Wars lore. However, after having built both of these sets and having them for a few days now.. I would say Ahch-To Island is the better of the two sets, from both a visual as well as a set design standpoint. First, Ahch-To Island is a more complex build, with Luke's shelter consisting of angular slabs of stone and granite and a lovely ziggurat-inspired rooftop. Speaking of which, the roof can be easily removed to allow access to the interior of Luke's abode, which is wonderfully crammed with a foldable bed, study desk, pan, lamp, food basket, and a round basin which I can only hope is some sort of stove top. Outside, two modular builds can be attached to the centerpiece: a fiery brazier and impressive stone steps leading to the entryway of Luke's home, and a training ground where Rey can break boulders to her heart's content with little-to-no previous Force training. These modular builds are far superior to the one offered in Yoda's hut, which are two generic and similar appearing garden lawns that can either fan out to the sides of the hut or fold behind to accentuate the back area. Also, Ahch-To island comes with several stickers to give the illusion of texture to the building blocks and which gives life to the build, whereas Yoda's Hut does not come with any stickers. Lastly, the minifigures. Much ado has been made of Master Luke's minifigure included in this set, with many predicting it to be a valuable collector's item one day. I can attest that the Master Luke minifigure is indeed very impressive, with a gorgeous inlay and bespoke print of his white Jedi robes. Also, the minifigure is lore-correct with Luke's android right arm. Rey herself is a very good minifigure, with a very pretty print on her torso as well as a unique hair piece. For what it's worth, you also get a porg. The only thing missing from this set is the salvaged S-foil of Luke's X-wing, which in the film was depicted as being repurposed as the door to his hut. But that is a minor omission to an otherwise great set! [I do still enjoy Yoda's hut for sentimental reasons, though!]

A Worthy LEGO Set
A solid build that comes with great Star Wars minifigs in the form of old mentor/master Luke Skywalker and Rey Jedi trainer outfit. Though I don’t have the set, this is similar to Yoda’s Hut that came out exactly the same time that year. ( Build is quite familiar). The action features are pretty cool with the wall crashing down, cloak doorway, rearranging the land plates as a mod configuration, hidden food compartment, and fighting-boulder turntable for Rey’s training. All nice gimmicks when referring to the film. Comes with a buildable Porg too! Overall a solid build, exclusive figures, and plenty of features that makes this small set worth its price. I would recommend it to any Star Wars or LEGO fan!

Fun to play with!
I bought this set for my grandson (7-1/2), and he loves it! I actually bought it mostly because it had a Lego porg, and the little porg is definitely adorable! It's the first thing he put together. The whole set is fun to play with. Another great Lego Star Wars set.

Set is good; movie wasn’t
Okay; I was not interested in either the scene recreation or the character minifigs, but truth be told, every single piece is high-quality, thus working perfectly for matching with others (what I bought this set for). Don’t care for the bird, but a lot of very nice pieces for a decent price. It’s a shame Luke’s staff isn’t all one-colored, though

Perfect
The set is perfect. Bought it for myself and loved it to bits. Starts my obsession with Lego Star Wars. For such a low price it is amazing. Lots of detail and interesting things. Grandpa Luke and Rey figures are a huge bonus. Package arrived in excellent condition, and very quickly. Fully recommend it to everyone.

A Great Set For An Ok Movie
Having not liked the Last Jedi, this set was a pleasant surprise! The build is good, with amazing play value. For such a compact space, it still manages to make it easy to get your hands into it. The Porg is something that I was especially looking forward, after seeing its inclusion in the UCS Millenium Falcon. The mini-figures are the real reason ya'll bought this though. Both are great, especially Luke, although I like Rey's outfit as well. I gave this 4 stars because they left out a caretaker figure, something I would have loved. Nothing much, just something simple, probably with a new head/hood combo. Overall, it's a great set and worth up to $25, but not $30, because of so little mini-figures.

First Lego PORG!!!
I loved it! My favorite set from the new movie. Yes, I know it’s simplistic and there are bigger and more complicated sets out there but this was on of my favorite parts of the movie and Luke was my favorite character growing up. I love the Porg! My only complaints are that it needed multiple Porgs and Luke’s hair could have had some different colors mixed in to look more accurate.

Fun and Displayable
The elderly Luke Skywalker figure is awesome and the porg is adorable! The island hut has a ton of cute features. I like that the land portions snap into the main setting. It was fun to build and makes a great display piece.
