Excellent taste of Japan
This paste makes really delicious curry with a true Japanese taste. It’s very easy to turn it into a full meal and I think it’s particularly good with prawns.

Good restaurant style katsu
This gives a decent katsu curry if you saute some onions and add the paste and saute for 5 mins and then add coconut milk. Very easy to make but you would separately need to air fry/ deep fry the chicken with breadcrumbs and pour the sauce on top for a restaurant style chicken katsu curry. Same brand sells green and red curry which are absolutely perfect. I have docked 1 star as this quality is not as good as those and second the quantity of output seems a little less than i expected. For the other curries you can add full can of coconut milk - for this half is what gets the texture and flavour right for me.

Not great
If you follow the instructions you'll end up with slightly discoloured coconut milk. Double up and it's acceptable. Being honest, I've not yet found a decent store-bought katsu curry in any form so it's not that bad in that context but it's not great at all. I won't be buying it again.
