Korean Cookware Aburi Stove Top Grill Pan, Black, (CB-P-AM3)

We had a wonderful time grilling in the backyard with this product and the meat came out perfectly juicy and delicious. We much prefer the charred marks on our meat à la yakiniku style over the Korean bbq plates with no holes in the middle. The material is durable and good quality. Due to this style of grilling, do expect copious amount of smoke. Best suited for outdoors grilling (yard, balcony, common grounds, public parks, etc.) or very well-ventilated kitchen. Product comes with 2 mesh grill plates but we find it more convenient to order extra of these so we can just toss them when done cooking. They are incredibly hard to clean once used and the elbow grease required is just not worth it. The mesh plates can be purchased in bulk for as little as $6 for 5 plates. Pros: produces beautiful charred marks Cons: very smoky, hard to clean mesh plates.

Perfect for home grilling Korean BBQ or Yakiniku. Fits perfect on top of the Iwantani butane stove. A little pricey for what you get but it's a quality grill that should last a long time.

It's super good, it's relatively non stick, and cleaned up super easily afterwards!

I used this grill with a 15K BTU GasOne portable butane stove for cooking yakitori. Unpacking the unit, I noticed that the grill screen (two grills are included) was convex in shape to provide clearance for the domed circular central heating plate. That is to say you cannot flatten the grill screen or replace it with a grill screen that is not similarly shaped. I discovered that this feature makes it difficult to position the yakitori sticks in other than radial orientation like spokes on a bicycle wheel. Further, the screen easily rotates which may result in unintended motions resulting in the food rolling off the grill. My clumsiness in moving the food around definitely contributed to the issue. A positive aspect of the Iwatani grill design is that heat is effectively transferred, resulting in temperatures sufficient to ignite the bamboo skewers, and scorch the food (in a good way). I used the grill with my stove at max, presumably 15K BTU level (I didn't measure). There was lots of smoke. The liquids exuded by the food, dropping onto the heating plate resulted in more smoke, and liquidized fats will also ignite causing yet more smoke. The yakitori tare contains sugar which, when dripping onto the heating plate, formed large carbonized deposits which can be a pain to clean - but that's a given with any situation with heat and sugar. These are the sorts of behavior that one experiences in a charcoal barbecue, so demonstrates how this gas-heated grill can come close to a "real" fire in some aspects. In summary, this grill definitely will emulate the kind of results you would expect from a charoal fire. The circular design, with the convex grill screen presents some issues with orienting the food and the stability of the food while cooking. If you're agile and not bothered by careful manipulation required (IMO) you will be happy with this item.

This pan fits and stays in place very well. Super easy to clean. Distributes heat evenly. It actually comes with 2 grill grates so it's well worth the cost. It actually appears brand new after using it for a few months also. As far as the way it cooks, I had a very easy time monitoring temperature and overall did a fantastic job with some tasty chicken and salmon.

It’s easy to use and works well on iwatani stove. Feels like every corner of the plate has got enough heat. But if the meat is marinated with sugared sauce, it will be super smoky. The residual is also different to clean due to the wired plate design. It’s almost inevitable by natural but is something to think about if you plan to bbq indoor.

I been on the fence about getting this. Happy that I did. The wires are not really usable, so I recommend purchasing additional screens (see the other reviewer). Cooking meat this way taste sooooooo good. Def must have for home or outdoor cooking.

The material appears to be sturdy. Pairs nicely with the Iwatani Yakiniku Pan with the added bonus that it works really well to provide heat to prepping smores without the camp fire. :-)

I bought this grill accessory for my Iwatani gas stove so we could have yakiniku at home. It appears to be well made with steel and finished off with an enamel coating. The product provides clear instructions on how to use it and we used the grill as instructed. After a single use , the enamelware on the central grill plating started to come off exposing the steel underneath. The day after, the exposed steel started to react with the open air to form a coating of rust. After reading through a separate leaflet in English, there's a disclaimer and health hazard warning advising materials used to produce the grill may be classed as a carcinogenic under the state law of California. Safe to say, I requested a refund for the grill. I haven't heard anything from Amazon yet, so we'll will see what happens. So we're concerned that Amazon would offer this product for sale considering the manufacturer's upfront admission the product may be a health hazard. I wouldn't take the risk and buy it.

Item as described. Good quality. Great alternative for charcoal grill. It is not advisable to use for indoor as it produces smoke, as if you are like grilling using charcoal.
