Bursting with flavor!
I never buy jarred simmer sauces because they are always disappointing and bland. I took a chance on this one and was surprised by how bold and flavorful it was! I also got the preserved lemon and threw that in my tagline with onions and bone in chicken thighs. Amazing simple meal! Will definitely be getting this again!

Delicous on corned beef hash! LOL
Call me crazy but this is what I put on my corned beef hash. Have gone through many bottles over the years. It's good stuff!

Who needs a tagine recipe?! This is a delicious tagine sauce "from scratch"
I've been using this tagine simmering sauce for years (rather than the Bobby Flay recipe I'd found) and always keep a jar in my pantry, so this review is not only to sing the praises of the quality and flavor, but of the company and its customer service. I had purchased my monthly jar from the grocery store and didn't notice that it was well passed the expiration date. I couldn't return it (tossed the receipt), so contacted the company through their website to see how long passed the date the sauce would be good. Not only did I get an immediate response, they sent me a new jar! To my mind, this speaks to the quality of Mina employees and company values, it confirms the quality of their products. For the sauce, you will see only the purest and simplest of ingredients....but simmering the chicken in the sauce creates something magical and complex. In one hour you will have a chicken tagine dish that tastes amazing right off the stove, but gets even better as leftovers........and yes, you can freeze them too. I use my imagination to add to the magic depending on what I have in the pantry: preserved lemon, chickpeas, dried apricots, raisins, onion, spinach, green or black olives. And I serve it over couscous or rice, or as a stew with pita.....and don't forget the harissa! This is the easiest and most satisfying chicken dish you will ever make, and Mina has done it all for you. I am hooked and plan on discovering all their other products. Yes, they are that good!

Makes for a tasty quick dinner
I almost always make my own sauces from scratch, but for a quick and easy weeknight dinner, this sauce is great. I have tried very few jarred sauces that I like. I doctor it with a bit of grated fresh ginger and simmer cut up chicken breasts til cooked through. Then I stir in chopped spinach and the juice of half a lemon. Serve over rice. I’ve already ordered more jars to keep in my pantry!

Love it!
I got this from Whole Foods and followed the recipe instructions on the back of the jar. I didn’t add olives or whole chicken pieces. Instead, I used 4 chicken thighs, seared them before cooking, then sautéed the onion a bit. When the sauce started boiling, I added three tablespoons of honey. It turned out great! I highly recommend it. Next time, I’m going to add veggies like zucchini and sweet potatoes.

To spicey
Something changed with this sauce. We have always loved it but this last Chicken Simmer sauce we bought was extremely hot and spicy. Overwhelmingly so. Very disappointed as we used to love the subtle flavors but won't be buying anymore.

Love it.
Exquisite sauce. Serve with both black and green olives, with sauteed mushrooms as well - simmered in this sauce along with the chicken - so good!
