Holy moly, this thing is wonderful! It is so beautifully simple, set the duration of time you want the box to lock, put it in, and boom! You are phone free until that timer is done Battery life is excellent, though I've been keeping it near full so it doesn't die while my phone is locked in there Now this thing is plastic, so if the worse happened and it failed I'm sure you could pry off the front plate and get your phone. But you'd almost certainly break this device doing so. Which for me is enough incentive to keep it locked up For me, this is a life changer! I got diagnosed with ADHD earlier this year and am finally learning how to work with my brain. I recognized phone addiction was a massive time sink. I would scroll on YouTube or message around on time wasting apps, then realize hours had passed and I had nothing to show for it. I wouldn't even say I was having fun. It was just part of my life down the drain for no reason- just a compulsion So I decided to get this device. It is very affordable, the fact that it looks totally boring is a plus for me. I tested it out and found it super simple to use. I started with short blocks of time- like, I'll read this book for an hour. And the started setting it before bed at night so my phone would be locked until 11am the next day. Now I have my mornings back! No more waking up and getting sucked into a scroll hole! It's lightweight and small enough to fit in a purse. Great battery life. Let's you charge the phone and answer calls while it's locked. Honestly, if I could give this 6 stars, I would in a heartbeat If you're on the fence about getting this, DO IT! It is truly life changing

I like how there is no emergency release, and how there is a hole to answer calls and charge my phone while inside. I chose the translucent version so I could see who’s calling before answering the phone - I get a lot of spam calls and they’re NOT emergencies. Fits my iPhone 14 Pro well in a case. Not super sturdy, so did t expect it to serve as protection. It is a tool to keep you off your phone, not anything else. Great for managing my ADHD!

It’ll definitely lock your phone away and you can still pick calls up if you need. It’s the right size for my iPhone 10. It’s solid, easy to use. It functions as intended, but I find I almost never use it now lol so I'm not sure it was worth buying for me.

Let’s face - we could all use a bit less time on our phones. Me? I am a full blown addict. Getting work done was always a pain with it nearby. No blockers or time limits did the trick until I found this. It’s no BS, no work arounds and very easy to work. I suppose if you were DESPERATE/ in an emergency you could likely pull it apart if need it without damaging the unit but it would require some force. The battery life is as expected and is very easy to charge. The overall machine is easy to work and helps bring my screen time down. The hard way. (As I write this review from my phone). If you’re an addict, this is for you.

Now I'm not tempted to pick up my phone for whatever time I set. There are two sets of arrows, one for hours and one for minutes, so it's very easy to set it. I like that it has a "last chance" pause of ten seconds in case you set it for too many hours--you can stop and unlock it. Once the ten seconds has passed, you won't get to use your phone for much besides answering a call. I used the included foam sheet to frame my phone so that it doesn't slide around inside. I really like this product.

UPDATE: The seller was extremely kind and understanding and sent me a new lock box. I wanted to give it a fair shot before i made an update but after weeks of using this while studying, i believe that this product is great and that the previous one i received must have been faulty! That’s always a risk when you buy something that is technology related. I updated the review to 5 stars because as an engineering student this lock box has helped me a lot and my friends love it too! ORIGINAL POST: I purchased this so that i could focus on studying for my final exams for the summer semester. The classes were shorter so i really needed to focus. The timer ran out but it wouldn’t open the lock. The screen was blank other than an image of a lock and i checked the amazon page on how to open it incase of an emergency and so i tried using the emergency unlock and it didn’t work!!! i had to go to the bathroom and break open the case to get my phone out. I wasted my time stressing out this rather than focusing on my exams. I waited about 30+ minutes hoping maybe the timer was an issue and that if i waited longer it would open, but it never did. Ended up missing several important texts too because of this. Wish i could get my money back!!!

I never write reviews in general but I really do put this as a warning, do not get this product. The actual product itself is designed in a way to where the lock actually cannot hold a charge unfortunately. I’ve hardly used it over the past 6 months I’ve had it due to the fact that every time I wanted to, I needed to plug it in, but I decided to give it another chance in spite of this. Unfortunately, my phone was having an issue after about 2 hours of the locking mechanism being active and I tried to use the emergency unlock which unfortunately, also did not work. As a result I had to literally break the box open, which wasn’t very difficult thanks to the cruddy build quality, but now the box is useless as it can’t lock anymore. This is more of a warning than anything else but in my opinion, it is so much better to spend your $25 anywhere else. It’s a ridiculous price point for a product that doesn’t even work. P.S. I did try to exchange it in the beginning hoping to get one with a working battery but unfortunately I was met with the exact same issue. Edit: The seller reached out to me and issued a full refund in a very timely and professional manner. I do have to give them some credit for that and I’m adding a star as a I can appreciate the quality service.
