It’s pretty thin cardboard, but for the price, I guess I shouldn’t have been expecting more. Gets the job done.

Hard to put together

It did not come with instructions on how to correctly fold the bottom. after about 15 minutes of trying to figure it out where it would stay, my husband and I both gave up and taped it. after that, yes, it will hold files, but it's not the sturdiest thing in the world. would not get again.

I needed something to help me sort through some files. I think this will work, but it's really small. The opening is about 4 and 3/4 inches and will hold some files but if you are filling those files, you won't get much in there.For me this is a temporary sorting item, so it will be fine for what I need. And if you just need to keep a few things on your desk it should be fine. I'm not sure how much wear and tear it will take though once you put hanging files in it and move them around. But it should be fine for a while.It set up fairly easily and once set up it's sturdy. It won't be tipping over or collapsing. And if you tape the bottom it will likely be more substantial.
