I've often looked for (and incorporated) products like this in my daily diet, namely foods that look/sounds like "dessert" but are real food. These often include dark chocolate, coconut, and some type of nut. After recently using KIND bars for awhile, I wanted to find something that had a bit better nutritional profile, as those have kind of a lot of sugar for the total amount of calories/nutrition. I stumbled upon these ALOHA bars and I couldn't be happier. The contents fit quite well into a dietary approach that is more whole-food oriented: low amount of total sugar, no artificial sweeteners, all organic, and even a significant amount of protein (albeit lesser-quality protein due to plant sources). For those who have moved away from the large amounts of sugar common in diets today, you will find these bars to be just sweet enough, while also presenting good flavor. My preferred consumption is with additional (88%) dark chocolate, blueberries, and macadamia nuts.

Most healthy protein bars taste like someone scraped topsoil off the ground, threw in a raw fig, and pretend it’s so dang good just because it’s healthy. These don’t have that “Health Freak” taste tax where it’s barely edible and you have to convince yourself it’s worth it because you’re getting the right nutrients. I have one every morning now. The coconut chocolate chip and peanut butter cup flavors are both legitimately good. Not “good for a protein bar” good. Just good. When people first told me about these, I figured they were health who’d trained themselves to ignore terrible taste in the name of macros. You know the type. They’ll eat cardboard if it has 20 grams of protein. But no, these actually taste like something you’d want to eat. They’re not cheap. Around $3 per bar, which made me hesitate. But the quality is absolutely there. I was skeptical about the coconut flavor specifically. Thought it might be one of those situations where coconut takes over everything and you’re basically eating an earthy coconut shell. But they balanced it really well… where it’s like an added bonus to the flavor profile instead of overpowering the taste. The chocolate comes through. Whatever else is in there plays nice. Nothing overpowers anything. It all just works. My girlfriend tried one and immediately asked where I got them. That’s how you know it’s legit. If you’re tired of protein bars that taste like punishment, get these. Yeah, they cost more. But you’ll actually eat them instead of leaving half-finished bars in your car for three weeks because you couldn’t bring yourself to finish. Worth it.

This bar is a winner. It packs 14g of protein, and has an appealing taste! Gives the stomach something to work on, whether a meal, meal supplement, or in-between. Packs easily for on-the-go, and is a source of good nutrition!

These chewy bars are a good snack. They are flavorful and are a great quality. They are handy and filling.

I have tried many different protein bars because of my working hours where meal time is hardly ever at the same time. I choose these bars by sugar, fat and protein level content and also by the taste of course. I began buying Aloha bars after trying one bar at a time seeing what flavors I would enjoy. Being a coconut lover for all of my life, I tried this brand along with others , and by far, Aloha beats them all. They don’t taste sugary like most. They have great texture, and it has now become my go to bar for a good meal substitute.
