Great filter at a great price.
I had long wanted to take some long exposure shots with a 10 stop filter and having used two previous filters by Gobe, I knew their quality to be excellent. I am happy to say that this one was no exception. From the premium build quality to the beautiful presentation, you get the feeling that Gobe know their business and have a genuine desire to provide not only value for money but great results to. All the usual features are there that I have come to expect from Gobe - the quality hard plastic case and foam molded insert to keep your filter well protected, the complimentary cleaning cloth which is a god send, the machined metal frame to the filter and the quality, coated finish glass which does the magic! I have included two quick sample photos taken in an attempt to demonstrate what this filter can achieve (probably much more in more skilled hands!). The first shot was without the filter at f11 and a shutter speed of 1/80 th of a second. With the filter on, it needed 13 seconds. In broad daylight! Amazing. The water in the image with the 1000 filter on is lovely and smooth, with that misty feel you get from a long exposure. For those that have mentioned colour cast being effected, you have to remember that a 1000 filter is tricking the camera into thinking the light conditions are completely different to what they are, in order to get the longer exposure. This is something you have to factor for when composing your shot or in post and is not the fault of the lens. I can genuinely say that I am delighted with this filter from Gobe and would highly recommend it.

Does what it says on the tin (literally)
Comared with the competition this filter is a bargain. As far as I can see there is little or no colour cast even on very long exposures. Although it's rated as 10 stop I suspect that it is slightly more, 11 stops maybe. There is also no noticeable loss of sharpness in the final mage. It certainly gets the results that you expect. The filter seems well made from quality materials and is nicely packed in a metal tin. As a bonus, Gobe plant 5 trees for every filter they sell It's safe to say I'm very pleased with this especially after some bad experiences wiht cheap drop-in ND filters so I can't recommend this too highly. I've added some additional ND filters as a result. Can't fault this. The posted image is of course B & W but was processed in colour as well, it was a 30 second f14 exposure.

Good quality filter with green credentials
I have been after a decent 10 stop ND filter for a while and this one was recommended to me. I had never heard of Gobe before but since my budget couldn't stretch to Lee and I wanted something better (and bigger) than the Cokin I had been using I decided to give it a go. The filter comes in a protective tin inside a light card box. You get a small, good quality cleaning cloth also in a cardboard sleeve. In addition you get the pleasure of knowing that several trees are being planted on your behalf in endangered areas of the world. You have to register on their website to do this, and to be honest, it's a bit of a faff. Getting back to the filter. It seems to be decently made, screwing on my 82mm Sigma lens thread without cross threading or sticking. The quality is first rate and the ND10 rating seems to be quite accurate. See the attached pic for a result. Gobe do a small range of filters in various sizes, 82mm being the largest, all screw in. You should buy the biggest size you need and invest in a set of stepping rings rather than go for any of the smaller sizes. This is a good filter and I have no hesitation in recommending it.

Long Exposure
I've been stung before by cheaper end ND filters claiming to be all singing and dancing. Off you go to try them out and the colours are off and everything is hazy. So I wasn't holding my breath when I ordered this one. The other Gobe filters seemed to get good reviews and I liked the idea of a few trees being planted with every order so I took a gamble. Very Impressed. Comes in a nice little sturdy plastic padded box to keep it safe with a cleaning cloth. Product looks well made and screws to the lens with a quality feel to it. No haze or soft shots with this filter. As long as you've got your settings right you will have no problems at all. I have a fuji x-e2 and I find it exaggerates the white balance issue. So in Auto White Balance bright sunlight shots have a blue tinge. Inside a more yellow hue. However this is so easily fixed by setting your WB accordingly. Set to shade and the blue goes etc etc. I have to point out it is a very minor issue and I've had bigger colour problems with with far more expensive filters in the past. The trick is (with most filters) don't use auto WB. Once you've realised this the shots have natural shades and hues and I've yet to notice any issues. A real quality filter shooting above its price point. Really happy and I will look at Gobe filters in the future.

Robust, convenient and high quality filter. I love it
It is my first experiment with the GOBE filters, And I have to say I am happy with those products. I saw those products several times and I decided to have a look saying to myself I would send it back if they are not worth it. I have been delivered quickly, the packaging is great, It comes in a strong, little box with a cleaning tissue which is pleasant. It fits easily in my backpack and even in my pocket. As I live next to the sea, the ND filter is one of my favorite filter because of the beautiful effect it provides. What I liked: -The product itself is really though -Does not look cheap at all -It is easy to set it up to the lens and robust -Convenient to carry (safe and takes not room) -Can be compared to way more expensive filter -Well desgined -Amazing renditions. -Can be set up with the polarized filter (unlike other brands) -"5 trees will be planted": for a landscape lover it is the little extra positive point of that filter I did not have problems with white balance as I edit with lightroom. Here inclosed a picture of the unboxing, and my first test.

I didn't quite know what to expect when I ordered this. I had used filters before but the strongest one I had was ND8 and this one is ND1000, so quite a difference! WOW! It is a powerful filter. Since it's so high in strength, I find it can only be used in the day. I tried using it at night/early morning and it still worked okay but it created noise and a big vignette around. By using it in the day or when it's lighter, the vignette is less if even there at all. It came in a nice package and can be stored in this perfect fitting tin which is small enough to carry around in your pocket - it's definitely worth the price!
