These #8 self-drilling drywall anchors are of a better design as to ones I recently purchased from your neighbor hardware store. These anchors have the Phillips head recessed into the anchor that allows for higher torque to be placed on the anchor before they will break. The size of these anchors are the same length, however, the thread turns are longer, providing additional holding power. You typically will pay a higher price for this design but these anchors are a very competitive price. I typically use self-drilling drywall anchors to lighter fixtures, pictures, wall art, drapery supports, small decorations, and other types of wall hanging accessories. The design provide for very easy installation, with superior pull-out strength compared to a common, conical drywall anchor. The website does not provide a weight limit for these anchors; however they should provide enough strength to handle 50 to 60 pounds. I typically use a Phillips head screwdriver to dimple the drywall where I want to screw in the anchor, which helps in getting the anchor to self-drill into the drywall. I gave these anchors four stars since they do not provide a suggested weight limit.
