This is definitely no replacement for a full 5.1 home cinema system but it is 2.1 after all. The Wavemaster Stax is A well-featured full-time PC speaker system with excellent build quality exceeding its price and some worthwhile design touches. Review: One Star - I bought these in January 2018 after 12 weeks careful use the right hand speaker stopped working. After checking with the manufacturer who was no help I contacted desertcart who arranged a refund on return of the faulty goods. I then spent another age looking to replace and apart from expensive Bose could find nothing worth the money. So I opted again for the Wavemaster Stax. On the basis if it packs in again I can return and get my money back. When I got the second set the connections were completely different to the first. 3.5 mm to RCA feed in and the remote volume control had a screw in connector rather than the push in. Although German haha these are made in China and the quality control is not German but Chinese. Different components visible hide the possibility there are different components inside. So how do we know we are getting what we pay for? I went back because the sound quality is good. I am pleased with that but am not sure about reliability. Hope someone in Germany bothers to read this. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Look expensive, sound great *by L***L on 3 April 2014* First thing I noticed was how nicely everything was packaged, all parts individually wrapped and well protected. The satellites are cool & cute, while having a really good weight to them, and they stand on a round base which can pivot at various angles – really neat. The remote sits nicely on my desk and when turning it – the β€˜click’ noise gives a positive affirmation that it’s on and it also has a little blue light indicator too. You can also plug in your headphones and it has a β€˜line in’ - all on the remote – giving easy access, so you don’t have to muck around plugging in headphones in the back of your computer. The subwoofer is loud enough to make you consider your neighbours! Audio quality is more than good enough for general music listening, and watching Youtube tutorials. The subwoofer is less obtrusive than I thought it would be, and doesn't take up too much space.
