Swiss Arabian Shaghaf Oud Abyad for Unisex - 2.5 oz EDP Spray

First off, Swiss Arabian is a wonderful maker of ORIGINAL oud-based and other Middle Eastern perfumes. I have the other two Shaghaf Ouds in this line, and they're both equally unique and awesome; neither being a "clone" for anything else. As to the Abyad: if I knew nothing about Interlude Man, or did not already own Ard al Zaafran's Midnight Oud which is the clone for Interlude Man, I'd love Shaghaf Oud Abyad just on its own merit as a stand-alone fragrance, wonderful in its own right. Since I DO already own Midnight Oud and thus have the opportunity to compare, that and Oud Abyad smell identical- and I mean I. Dent. Ical. Maaaybe Midnight Oud has a bit more of the vanilla coming through. Both have that heady herbaceous opening with the oregano top note, which can be challenging for anyone not into niche fragrances. Oud Abyad might have a tad more projection and longevity. Midnight Oud has the beautiful blue bottle, however, with the gold crown on top. It's up to you. If you're into Interlude but don't want to pay $400, you could get either fragrance and no one would be the wiser. If you just like the description of this fragrance, you could do far worse than buying this one. However, if you are looking for one of Swiss Arabian's originals, I absolutely love the other two in this collection- Shaghaf Oud and Shaghaf Oud Aswad. They are standalone knockout fragrances, both different and equally beautiful. Had I known this one was more or less a match for Interlude, I'd have passed on it, but only because I own one of those already.

This is a unique, high quality fragrance. Strong smoky scent that stays all day on your clothes, and you’ll explore more notes as it wears off. Great value compared to niche and designer brands. Must have if you want a strong and very long lasting Cologne.

This is a masculine fragrance, or unisex leaning masculine to my nose. It is not an A typical fragrance and possess that distinct Swiss Arabian footprint. The opening has a strong pepper spiciness. The mid smooths out giving its amber and Sandlewood, The Oud in this fragrance is smooth and to my nose not animalic or harsh at all. I think I would prefer this fragrance on a man and do not find it feminine enough for myself (personal preference) this is a unique scent, masculine in nature, very long lasting, moderate projection off skin, a bit better off cotton clothing. I think this would be a fine office scent, day or evening and would work well with a suit and tie. A confident man or woman will be able to pull this one off. This is a mature person's scent maybe 35+, but you do you.

So after reading reviews of a good dupe of Amouage Interlude I bought this as a blind buy. Smells like it, however turns into a skin scent after a couple of hours, not a "best mode" fragrance as described with other reviews, and I was heavy handed with it. I think the one with the Arabic writing on the bottle is more than likely stronger then the one I received. Price pointwise it's definitely a good value, and still a nice fragrance, and a couple of hours it became a soft amber with a touch of Oud and some vanilla on me, which is fine because it wasn't overdone like other middle eastern fragrances. Think of this as a tone down version of Interlude just not as strong. To be fair I did smell it on my skin for at least 6 to 8 hours but again weak projection that lasted for like a hour tops.

If you like oud, then you will love this very long lasting fragrance. Good value and great packaging. I would purchase again from this seller! Thank you!

I am absolutely a self proclaimed perfume connoisseur✔️ Shaghaf is very strong and opulent, definitely for evening wear in my opinion but it is certainly on a higher level when it comes to Ms to perfumes!

I used to have white ouid in my collection , but never tried this company before! It’s smell so bad I had to change my clothes just to get rid of this ugly smell!!! It’s off and so heavy !! Don’t buy !! wasting money !! No return so it’s Going straight to the trash !!

Die Lieferung war am nächsten Tag da. Der Duft ist genial. Anfangs sehr stark rauchig, aber das verfliegt nach 20-30 min und es bleibt eine Symphonie aus Süßlichen und Holzigen Aromen. Es ist definitiv nicht für Jedermann, aber ich finde ihn super. Der Anfangsduft ist aber wirklich eigenartig, hat was von Lagerfeuer😅 die Haltbarkeit ist sehr gut und kann definitiv mit Parfums mithalten, die das doppelte oder mehr kosten. Alles in allem super gelungen

If you like heavy oud and wood, with a bit of sweet that appears after a while then this is for you. Long lasting, will stay for at least the next day.
