Radio FM reception good due to it's Dsp chip no Rf interference. SW reception good we can hear many stations from all over the world , i listened China Tamil Radio in morning time with some noise , need some antenna wire setup improve the quality. AM reception okay. Radio build quality good . Sound quality very good crystal clear but no Bass . We can use it with power without battery but you must buy USB to 3.5mm dc power cable. I have bought USB to 3.5mm dc power cable for Rs.70 in local shop and using it with Mobile charger . Overall good FM radio just using two days . Hope It will long last working. While DC cable plugged in Battery mode not work we must remove the dc cable to use it in battery mode

Exactly what I was looking for. No frills attached operation (no wires needed) with a long battery life, and ultra portable. There's a certain charm in having to manually tune into the stations by slowly turning the tuning wheel in anticipation of serendipity! Overall, a great product for the price. FM reception is excellent even without having to extend the antenna. 2 bands are offered but band 2 is redundant since all radio stations in my area are tuned into frequencies that fall under band 1. I get ~12 stations in it. All with loud and clear reception. Not many MW/AM stations operate these days and further are on a declining trend :( But those that the radio catches, reception is good. 1 band provided. I get to listen to 0-3 stations depending on the time of the day since most MW stations don't run 24x7. Coming to SW. It's surprising how many stations it can tune into. 9 bands on offer here. Though you'd have to extend the antenna to catch more stations but the reception is just okay. And there's this other issue here that channels do tend to overlap a lot despite frequencies being spread out into multiple bands. Even the slightest movement on the tuning wheel to get a better reception can take you into another station altogether (maybe a separate fine tuning wheel would've helped). Most stations are from the East (many from China, Taiwan etc since I hear a lot of Mandarin) North (including Russia) and Central Asia, Middle East, and only a very few from English speaking nations. In terms of reception quality:- FM>AM>SW And before you sign me off as an oldie for finding charm in analog radio sets, I'm in my 20s :D This radio set is perfect when you want to take a break from the Internet world and yet want some recreation. You can find talk shows, academic lectures, different languages (helpful if you're learning), misc discussions, news and of course, music. It may not be the best one out there but definitely packs a big punch for the small form factor. It can get surprisingly loud at higher volume. Batteries lasts easily for weeks even with regular use. Appeal to the present generation: don't let this piece of invention succumb to the digital pressure! Analog radios ftw! P.S: MW makes use of internal antenna so no need to fiddle with the external one to tune into stations. Also, there's also a 3.5mm jack provided.

By far the best ever compact radio that i have purchased in the recent years. I already own D-808, R-108 but this is outstanding and surpassed in performance, despite it is cheaper than others but don’t underestimate it’s performance based on the price. Excellent receptivity, sound clarity and compactness, looks good, feels good in hands. Battery Life: I listen to this radio 2 hrs everyday and i use Alkaline batteries which lasted more than a month. I can access FM channels from 180 KM far from the stations. AM clarity is the best among the rest. Though this radio is excellent in FM and AM, but the sweet thing about this radio is SW, you can access every SW channels across the world and this little guy is capable enough to receive them, you just have to know the timings. I daily listen to US radio channel in SW 1170 kHZ at 6 AM In my opinion this is outperforms every other radio out there at this price point. This can even bought for collectibles as well. Highly recommend to enthusiasts. Stay tuned to radios!
