You can make espressos or longer coffees. For each of these, you can choose whether to make one or two simultaneously. You also can choose the strength and the size of the drink, which it remembers even after the machine has been unplugged. The bean storage is a good size, once filled it lasts a reasonable amount of time. You can adjust the fineness of the grind inside the bean storage as well, allowing for a finer or coarser grind in your drink. That said, given that it's inside the machine, it is more challenging to change this when full of coffee beans. There is a separate compartment (and measuring spoon) for using ground coffee, rather than beans. This is helpful when someone has a particular coffee preference. All waste is stored inside the machine in a little box. Everything is easy to clean, and the booklet contains clear guidance on how often to clean and lubricate the machine.
