I've had to cosleep with my now 16mo old since she was born. I had tried constructing different types of arrangements, some uncomfortable, because she will not sleep away from me and has never slept through the night without waking various times. I'm so upset I didn't see this sooner because it's just perfect. It was easy to set up, and it fits our cal king very well. I'm surprised about it. The bed is about 12 inches tall yet it fits perfectly, and it works well even on just a platform bed frame as you see in the picture. We absolutely love the pockets as well to hold whatever stuff you like on all 4 sides. I love that you can bring down any of the sides if you wish and that my husband and I can get in and out whenever we want throughout the night and our toddler is still safe inside. The click is not too loud when you click them up into place (we use a sound machine too though). Even when she stands at the edge of the bed there is not too much of a gap where she can slip out. It feels pretty sturdy and secure. I would say, in our case with a cal king, or any larger bed up on a frame, you do need all 4 sides for it to be secure and not wobbly if you want to use it as a crib essentially. My daughter can't climb out of it either so it's a good height. When I'm away to have me time with my husband in the living room, we just put the baby camera to make sure she is ok if she wakes up and we're not there, though I doubt anything would happen to her in there. All in in all, we love it, it's practical, secure and will be used for many years, especially if we have more kids. Totally recommend.

The setup was super easy, and they fit snugly under the mattress, keeping everything secure. The rails are sturdy and height adjustable. They’ve prevented many potential roll-offs, giving me peace of mind at night. Plus, they’re lightweight and foldable, making them ideal for travel. I did have to use a golf bag travel case to transport these rails. Highly recommend for anyone with a little one transitioning to a big kid bed!

Maybe kind of a weird time to start co-sleeping/bed-sharing, but we just started bed sharing a couple months ago (our son was 17 months when we started) because he was waking up every single morning around 3am crying and he would clearly be so sad to go back in his pack n play to sleep by himself. We kept having to get up over and over to comfort him until he would finally fall asleep, and waking up at 3am every morning was starting to take its toll on us. I genuinely don’t understand or remember how tf we survived the newborn phase and all the sleep regressions that followed! It feels like some distant dream lol I can’t fathom getting that small amount of sleep!But yeah these 3am wake ups were giving us newborn phase flashbacks lol so we decided to look into bed sharing now that he’s at an age where he can move freely and can have his little pillow and blanket and stuff. I just felt like the things that scared me about bed sharing with a newborn no longer applied now that he was older.Only issue was that our bed is pretty high off the ground. Obviously we don’t want him falling off the bed. So I did a DEEP dive into Amazon reviews for every single toddler bed rails set I could find, and after some super thorough research I felt confident that these ones would work for us.And holy crap, let me tell you, after a couple months using them I am VERY impressed by how durable and safe they are! They enclose our entire bed and basically turn it into a king sized play pen lol and the walls are sooo high, there’s no way this kid is getting over them. They fit snuggly against the bed so there’s no getting stuck between them and the bed, which makes replacing the fitted sheet a friggin nightmare but that’s worth it honestly. They hold his weight very well. He constantly is running and throwing himself against them for fun, and they hold up beautifully. He’s a very active toddler and these walls are no joke!To get in and out, there’s little buttons on the outside of each wall that you can lock so if the kid pushes the button it doesn’t do anything (even if it weren’t locked, the button is difficult for a kid to push, but we always lock them), and there’s also Velcro straps you undo that act as extra security. Super easy for adults to get in and out, and definitely not easy for the toddler to do so!Anyway, I’m just so so pleased with these bed rails. It was a bit pricey to buy 4 separate rails but we felt that fully enclosing the bed was the only way we’d feel fully confident in using them, and we were willing to pay extra for the confidence in their security.These bed rails have made it possible to experience bed sharing in a very non-anxious way. He never wakes up during the night anymore, sleeps really well and you can tell he feels so safe and secure next to his parents all night. He loves being able to cuddle and he enjoys waking us up in the morning :)Super long review, sorry! But wanted to share in case anyone else is thinking about bed sharing and is feeling overwhelmed with all the bed rails options on Amazon. There’s a lot of them listed on Amazon where the reviews scared me, but these ones were the best find ever and took lots and lots of digging to find. I HIGHLY recommend them! This is coming from a very anxious mama who leaves no stone unturned when looking for products she can feel confident in.

These bed rails are nearly perfect. Easy to set up, sturdy, and tall enough to reign in crazy toddler. We did practice rolling into and climbing out of sides of bed-guards for safety purposes and the little one passed the test. The only two things that frustrate me with this purchase are (1) the side facing the headboard tilts out a lot, creating a gap. Luckily, our nightstands are between the wall and the gate so hold it to a max tilt that isn’t too open. (2) the top connecting gate to gate pops off here and there. I wish it was more secure. I wonder if the whole thing would perform better with all four gates but it was a bit too pricey for us. I wish there was a bulk discount, sturdier connectors, and a way to connect the gate to the headboard so it doesn’t angle out.
