Costume Quest is a fun concept, game and TV series. Costume Quest: Invasion of the Candy Snatchers is a really good introduction into the world plus Zac Gorman is a very talented writer and artist who is in love with games and ideas like this. If you or anyone you know loves Halloween, Adventure Time and similar worlds- buy this as a gift.

First, I looked up "Costume Quest" to see what it is and found that it is a game and this is the first graphic novel based on it. This is an adorably cute Hallowe'en story that focuses on the creativity and smells of the holiday rather than the scary part. Fun little adventure about bullying and friends sticking together to overcome adversary in the end. I loved the cute little monster guys and, even though there are three main characters, they had a very Sponge-Bob & Patrick type of relationship going on which was endearing. Fans of the game will like this and I should mention the book is huge, it's oversized, large. Anyway, think I'll go take a look at the game myself now. Bye, bye.

I ordered this book because Costume Quest is one of my favourite games and Zac Gorman is an amazingly talented artist that captures the nostalgic feelings of childhood spent playing videogames. I knew it was going to be an awesome book and I was not disappointed: it is a lovely comic about how magical Halloween is also a gorgeous piece of art. The only thing I didn't "like" is that I think a smaller format would have been better.

My daughter loves the Costume Quest cartoon and I had been a fan of Zac Gorman for nearly a decade. So it made sense to buy this book and even more sense to buy it in hard back. I read this to her in sections every night for months. It's gotten 10 good read throughs!

Loved this book. As a disclaimer, I have been a Zac Gorman fan for a long time now, so I had not played either of the games when I read this story. But I enjoyed it so much that after I finished it, I played both of the costume quest games (take it from me, skip costume quest 2). This comic book has a cute story and endearing characters. Good length.

To summarize the story a group of monster children come to the human world in search of candy. They run into some bullies defeat them. Go home eat candy. It also has Everett's & Lucy. Overall the book is not long or complex and it does have a few louse ends that bait for a sequel. But it is fun.
