Fun for watching kids grow
I have a son who is 6'5" and growing, and another son who is 6'3" and growing. This has been great to watch them grow. It's not as sentimental as the door jam, but it gives you the reading on the spot as opposed to having to take out a tape measure to measure the mark on the wall. I've also become popular as my son's friends all want to get measured every time they come over now! It was easy to put together, although the first piece I had to really give a good push to get it to click into place. You have to make sure you put the pieces in order and put on the actual measurement piece before putting on the last piece (learned this the hard way!) It comes with a bag but I'm not sure I'd want to be assembling and disassembling it a lot and carrying it around. I was tempted to take off a star because it is definitely an expensive item ($99 when I got it), but if that doesn't matter to you, then it is a 5 star item. Highly recommended.

Joins are not smooth so it doesn’t work
The material was sturdy but the joins are not smooth so the height bar gets stuck - so we can’t use above 5 or 6 ft, defeating the purpose of the height measurement bar.
