I’m giving this 5 stars for now because I have nothing to say otherwise, but also I haven’t taken it long enough really to state whether it’s working. I expect that you need to take it consistently for a while. It seems highly rated as a supplement though and several podcasts I listen to have recommended it, so I’m going to stick with it and see how I get on over time.

The active ingredient in these capsules is Apigenin. Whilst it is associated with helping improved sleep, it also has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. These particular capsules are marketed as being of 98% purity which is as good as you are ever likely to find. This along with the 100mg dose per tablet means that only 1 capsule is required per day so each bottle provides a supply for 3 months. They are easy to swallow and I have not encountered any after effects from taking them. I've not noticed any change in terms of my sleep but I'm hopeful that the anti-inflammatory properties are helping. It's good value for money for a 3-month supply.

I was awake after 3 hrs. Heart and mind was racing. Took some magnesium and fell back asleep a couple of hrs later. Woke feeling sluggish and a headache. Might work for some but doesn't for me.

Advertised as helping you to sleep, however it had the absolute opposite effect on me! Be warned if you're buying it for sleep, everyone's different.

I have longstanding health issues including pain, that can make it difficult to sleep at night. I've tried prescription sleeping pills in the past, but disliked some of the side-effects, so am not keen to go that way again. I hadn't heard of apigenin before, and was slightly disappointed when I realised it's the same ingredient that gives chamomile its purported sedative properties. Chamomile as a sleep-aid has never particularly worked for me. BUT this is supposedly a concentrated dose - presumably more than can be obtained from a simple cup of chamomile tea. Chemically, it binds to the same receptors in the brain as prescription drugs like Valium, so there's at least a plausible theory of how it *might* work, even if it's an over-simplification. I've been taking them for a few days (i.e. nights) now, and find them easy to swallow, with no side-effects. Any benefits have been modest, however. The standard dose is one tablet, but you may take two "with caution", because of the strength of the dose. Knowing half-hearted sleep remedies do nothing for me, I opted to go straight for two tablets, thinking I should really notice something. I think I do start to feel a little more relaxed and drowsy than usual, but it's really very subtle. I'm not encouraging anyone to be reckless with them, because your reaction could be different, but I've had stronger effects from a glass of wine. Just this morning, I slept through until 4 a.m, which was an advance on the usual 3 a.m, so I wondered if continued use was beginning to pay off. BUT, I still couldn't get back to sleep after waking, so definitely haven't discovered a miracle. Every hour gained is something, I suppose, but that's not an unqualified endorsement. I do like that it's a UK company. This is supposedly the most potent formulation available in the UK, but I've found it difficult to verify. It's true that 50mg seems by far the most common, making this double. But it wasn't hard to find a couple of vendors boasting more, although I can't vouch for their safety or legitimacy.
