Perfect for me!
My stove has a small burner that fits this pot perfectly, doesn't even get the handle warm on the high heat setting. Those that melted the handle...DAH! Great addition to my kitchen, super functional heating hot water quickly. Totally recommend as long as you can figure out how not to put the handle over the heating element...I use this every day, 5 Star +

Easy and quick
Great quality and easy to keep clean. Prefer over metal kettle that has minerals from water. I can see when it needs to be cleaned.

Great practical kettle!
I love this kettle, I use it all of the time. I like the shape and I find it very practical to use, and it seems very durable - the only reason that I bought a second one is that I forgot it on the stove; otherwise, I expect that it would have lasted forever. Even then, the kettle itself remained intact, although the plastic lid partially melted. To me, it heats adequately quickly, the whistle is loud enough (as long as you aren't stupid enough to forget it and start working in the backyard) and I haven't had a problem with the lid melting (as long as you don't overheat it without water).

I can’t live without this. And always buy two.
I got tired of using tea kettles to heat water for my coffee and tea because the hard water we have here ends up, destroying the metal and leaving a terrible taste. I now use these clear glass laboratory grade tea kettles. Easy to clean and I’ve never had one break from being overheated. They do break occasionally, though if I inadvertently bang it on the stove, which is why I always have two on hand. I am such a coffee addict that I cannot bear to not have clean glassware for the right flavor.

I use these often
I have had 2 of these one for about 20 years and one for about 10 years. I recently smacked one of them on a metal faucet filling it up. A small crack formed on the rim and several months later it broke. I ordered a new one and who knows if it will last as long as my old one but it looks almost identical (the printing fonts are different). I make a gallon of tea at a time by boiling the water in 2 of these then transferring the water into my brewing vessel. I use a gas stove to heat the water and have no experience with using them on an electric stove. Observations and concerns; The lid handle melts its not the best design, probably would be better to cut the little tab/handle off. If you leave it a while the whole lid can soften up. Not an issue for me because I dont use the lid as it doesnt work well if you fill the kettle up to the rim like I do. It never gave me a problem whistling but only good when its not full. I guess you need to decide how important that feature is to you. I have read in many reviews that the handle melts. It surely can its plastic, but I do a few things to prevent it from happening. I keep the flames from going up over the sides by lowering the gas. I also offset it so its not exactly centered on the burner to keep more heat away from the handle and finally there is a cast iron bar on my grates that angles inward and absorbs heat so i angle the handle to that spot. This has worked for me for 20 years after I noticed this happening. BTW use a pot holder to pick it up just in case, it can be hot enough to bother your hands. As Far as the glass breaking , its thin borosilic glass and you have to treat it with care but its still fairly rugged considering. One more note the glass says "Germany" not made in germany like the old one, so take that for what its worth. I am surprised this arrived in one piece just luck I suspect. It was in a cardboard box with a piece of brown paper thats it. I am happy to have a replacement (still cheap too, about the same price in the 90's) and will report back if there are any problems.

Water heats fast, no toxic metal to worry about
I heated water two times for tea after receiving the kettle. It didn't whistle when the water boiled. Not sure if it's missing a part. The black plastic piece has a 1/4" hole through the center no sort of venturi that would accelerate the steam to make the whistle. Even with the kettle placed off center the handle can still get quite warm. Worth using a mitt when pouring. If cared for it should last awhile.

The best kettle I have bought. The coffee tastes sensational!

The cap keeps popping out. I inspected the cap and when I touched one of 3 little movable parts it broke. Now it’s a waste of my money and I don’t know how or if I can get a replacement. All I want is one that works as what the ads says

So glad to get glass whistling kettle again! Had one for years and swore never to go back to electric, did, as got a set bought, fine at first but then the same experience, looking shabby, limescale, filter etc and an expensive buy in itself.. looking for ages to get my glass kettle back as got rid of old one thinking the way too expensive electric would last, but no! Finally found on here, but not from uk anymore, came all the way from USA, the seller really good and helpful as there was a delay with delivery, a little note to them and response was prompt with all help needed and delivered that day. I am really so glad to have my glass kettle again that I’m sure will give me years of clean boiling whilst still looking good! Recommend the seller and this kettle for good quality and service 😊

The water is so clean well it's glass and just tastes great, I will never go back to metal kettles on the stove top, The whistle is loud and clear the glass is easy to wipe down with a damp rag, I do go from scolding hot water pored into a mug and then filled up with freezing cold water from the tap here in the winter, and it's not a problem for this little glass beauty. We use the very small burner on the stove top, and it takes about 4 minutes to boil two large mugs of water. This way, you are using a tiny amount of energy to boil the water. On the side of the glass kettle there is a making for the minimum amount of water this will take, and it equates to two large mugs of water. We are all impressed with this work horse of a kettle and if this one breaks we are all unanimous in this house we will definitely be buying another straight away, cross fingers we haven't dropped it yet lol
