Once used by my kitten it absorbs the moisture really well and there is absolutely no odor, I was amazed. I love that it is made from recycled materials. We did transition to other types of paper or wood pellet litter for a time to see if there were more cost efficient litters out there that performed as well. The result is that there wasn't, so whilst one of the more high end brands, it seems to us that the costs is worth it. Our original flat home, and now house, have never smelled catty! The ammonia locking properties we have found to be unrivalled. It is also easy the clean and so long as you have scoops with slighly largely holes, easy to filter out number 2s. With urine, it doesnt clump exactly but being super absorbant, it it easy to scrap away dry little to leave the wet mound on its own clear. Primrose and Pascal have 4 trays between them and we used approx 3 x 11kg bags per month changing weekly. So, its safe to say we we continue to use Fresh News!! There is no tracking it around, just occasionally some gets knocked out the litter box when they are really running around like crazy. It's really absorbent and keeps the ammonia smell at bay.
