Review: I love it! - Th Bosch Cool 2000 Portable AC is brilliant! HERE'S WHY YOU SHOULDN'T GO FOR A CHEAP BRAND: I had previously bought a cheap one for sub £200. That was a waste of time as it sounded like a pneumatic drill and didn't give out anywhere near enough cold air for it - it struggled to cool the room down. HERE'S WHY YOU SHOULD CHOOSE A BOSCH: To cut through the confusing world of all the options out there, I just decided I would go for a reliable brand and spend considerably more money - Bosch was my choice and it has 100% been worth it. I only needed the smallest one as the room I want to cool down is quite small. It looks slick, it pumps out cold air in abundance. As air conditioners go it's quite quiet - I mean, obviously it does make some noise, but it's soothing white noise (a bit like the sound when you're on an aeroplane). If you want a reliably excellent portable air con unit and have the budget, my advice is look no further
Review: Cools but very noisy with intermittent buzzing - Bought this just before the first heatwave in June ‘26 thinking Bosch was going to be a good robust machine. It definitely cools well providing ambient air is below 30° - beyond that it just really blows warm ish air around. The room I’m using it in is approx 9.6x 2.88 and had a vaulted ceiling in one half so it is a large space. (Instructions say it can only be used on air conditioning mode at 10°c below ambient temp max). It is EXTRAORDINARILY noisy. It buzzes very loudly intermittently which makes it very hard to sleep with whilst it’s running. Setting it up to vent through our timber outwards opening windows was a mission as well… had to buy a separate window kit. Final gripe is nowhere to store the vent tube when it’s not in use. It’s my first foray into AC in the UK - we’re having an extension built in the new year and we have decided to pay for a proper wall-mounted unit. However it is handy to have this and no doubt is helping keep a large space cool to work and sleep in though I shall be using it on timer mode and in conjunction with a fan to help keep me cool once it’s turned off and gone quiet enough to sleep!!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does it have a tank for dehumidifier & what is the minimum temperature it will operate at please**
A: It has an internal tank and the display lets you know when full. Using the pipe supplied you can then drain the tank. Cooling mode goes down to 16 degrees

**Q: Does this have the ability to cool down 2 bedrooms?**
A: I have it in the hall outside 3 bedrooms. It cools the hall down very well but the bedrooms take much longer to cool and don't cool as much. If you had one in each bedroom it would be far more effective of course.

**Q: Can the hose be extended as the unit cannot be sited near a window**
A: The hose is a fixed length.  If you can't site near a window then you will need to purchase a hose that will be long enough to reach the window and hang outside it.

Bought this just before the first heatwave in June ‘26 thinking Bosch was going to be a good robust machine. It definitely cools well providing ambient air is below 30° - beyond that it just really blows warm ish air around. The room I’m using it in is approx 9.6x 2.88 and had a vaulted ceiling in one half so it is a large space. ### ⭐ UNABLE TO REGISTER

I have purchased a number of Bosch items over the years, and have always been able to register them for the extended warrantee. There has always been a registration card with the appliance, but this time no registration document. In this case no Bosch online registration system, I have found, recognised the unit. I have telephone all the Bosch call centres, I can find, and no one can register a Bosch Cool 2000 portable Air Contioning unit. I contacted the seller and all they could give me was German telephone number or Bosch web page with no address. This is good unit but Bosch lack of support is letting them down.
