As long as each individual panel is connected either to a power supply or to another panel which is connected to the power supply, it will light up. If it is not connected to either of those, it will not be able to light up.

Can these lights be used without a wall?

HEXlights include a table stand adaptor, so you can use them either on the wall or in a table-top configuration.

How many colors can this hexagon shape led light alternate between?

HEXlights can change into 13 different colors, you can combine them any way you like. They can be changed by touching the LED panels or with the remote control.

How can I turn the lights on and off using touch?

Touching the light-panels lets you switch between various colors and light effects. For turning each panel on or off, keep your hand on the panel for 3 seconds.
