Found a recipe for Spaghettini with smoked eel, garlic, chilli and pangrattato that I wanted to try out but couldn’t find anywhere locally that sold good smoked eel. Port of Lancaster Smokehouse to the rescue. Delicious, great quality smoked eel delivered to my door in their excellent cooled packaging. Will not hesitate to buy again - the recipe was a great success with the eel as the star of the show. I’ve made several purchases from Port of Lancaster now, all of which have been great quality items, despatched quickly with great care taken over packaging so they arrive in tip top condition.

How many times has it been refrozen
Most awfull tasting eel I've ever tasted obviously new Zealand is a step too far. Very sad to say having eaten smoked eels all my life, these 5 packets are a waste of money

Good but not worth the premium price
The product was fine, tasted reasonably good. However, it didn't compare to the smoked eels I have had in nice restaurants so I don't feel this is something I'd buy again at this price.

Expensive but good.
My mother loves smoked eel and I have always bought her a whole eel for her birthday. Now in her 90s she appreciated the ease of use of this product and also loved the flavour. Very expensive for what you get but worth it to those who like it.

Fabulous Food
I really enjoyed the smoked eel. It is well presented and a fabulous flavour. The downside was the cost, including postage. So, I would definitely buy it again, but only when I can get to the shop in person.
