I have them on a schedule so I can set it and forget it, but if I want to alter the schedule, it’s just a Siri command or a button click away. You can also just pull on the curtain and it senses that you are trying to manually open or close it and it just takes over. They were easy to connect and they have stayed connected. The battery life is excellent. I only have to charge them once or twice a year at most. I don’t have to remove them to charge either. I just run the charger to them for a couple hours and they’re good to go. They hide behind the curtain, so no one even knows they exist, visually. They are strong and made well. They have multiple modes to control them. You can use the normal mode, which is really not that loud at all and then there’s a quiet mode too, if you want to open or close them while someone is sleeping. I’m very happy with these and would recommend them to everyone.

A: Yes, you must set it up first in the Switchbot app and link the Google Home app to it.

**Q: Love the idea, but don't want to see it. Can it be hung behind the curtain or does it need to be on the outside?**
A: I installed 2 on my office window as it has multiple curtains with a support in the middle and I have both behind the curtains. Unless your curtains are transparent, you don't see anything.  Works great.

**Q: Would this work on an RV front window drapes?  And does it also close the drapes, not just open?**
A: As long as the rod is the right size, it should, and it can move the drapes to any point, open, closed, or anywhere in between

It’s a pretty neat gadget! Straightforward to set up, making it easy to automate your curtains in no time. Programming the schedule is a breeze—you can tailor it to your daily routine with a few taps, like having your curtains open on weekday mornings and close in the evenings, or sleep in a bit on weekends with later opening times. The flexibility of the scheduling options is definitely one of its strongest features. That said, there are a few drawbacks. For example, requiring an account to use the app feels a bit unnecessary, especially when all you want is to control your curtains without the extra steps. It’s not a deal-breaker, but it does take away from the overall seamless experience. In terms of functionality, though, the device performs as expected, and the motor is strong enough to handle even heavier curtains. If you catch it on sale, it’s an even better deal! All things considered, I’m giving it a 4/5—good value with just a few minor frustrations. Although I strongly recommend buying this one sale
