Perfect Everyday and Travel Backpack – Durable, Spacious, and Great Value!
I absolutely love my Briggs & Riley HTA Medium Widemouth Backpack! It's incredibly comfortable to carry, and the high-quality materials really make it stand out. There's plenty of space for all my essentials, including a laptop, books, and personal items, without feeling bulky. Because of its quality and functionality, this bag is an excellent value for the money. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a stylish, durable, and practical backpack!

The perfect lightweight pilot bag
Great design, both aesthetically and from an organisational point of view. I especially love the smaller externally accessible pocket which is great for my passport wallet. The materials are lightweight but holding up REALLY well to what’s pretty brutal use as an airline pilot. It’s both compact, and expands enough to get enough extra items in there - on top of my work equipment - that I could use it for a short overnight.

A good bag with a well-thought-out and excellent design
A good bag with a well-thought-out and excellent design. But there's one catch! It's not ballistic nylon, not at all. I have several Tumi bags, and I know exactly what ballistic nylon should look like. I'm waiting for your response, otherwise I'll have to consider this a typical customer scam, with all the ensuing consequences. I've attached a photo from the company's official website, with a description of the bag's material.

Pricey but worth it
If you are looking for a bag that you can stuff to the seams to minimize check-in luggage fees, this is not the bag for you, but if you are looking for a well structured, compact backpack with convenient pockets (including a long horizontal one on the back that allows for easy access to passports, IDs, or tickets, while safely carrying a laptop, large iPad, two cell phones, multiple chargers, standard sized book, travel pillow, blanket, scarf, travel cardigan or jacket, flip flop to switch into for the long flights, and snacks, this bag fits the bill. I have many bags for work (including luxury brand totes costing thousands), and thought I’d use this for travel only, but I now use it now as my daily work bag. Definitely worth the price.

Don't be fooled
I had incredibly high expectations for this bag considering the to $300+ price tag. Needless to say, it failed miserably. I ordered this for two main reasons: it holds a 17" laptop (which I have to carry around for work all the time) and it has nice front pockets. Although the front pockets were great and the overall feels/quality of materials were nice, it's missing quality of life features you see in bags as cheap as $40. 3 big complaints: 1- it barely fits a17"laptop. It is such a tight fit in the back slot of the bag that it will feel like you have a plank of wood up against you once the bag is on your back. If the bag is uncomfortable once my laptop is it, what's the point. 2- there is no back strap to slide this over a luggage handle. I should have checked before ordering but I have come to assume it's on any high end bags so I was quite disappointed that this bag didn't have one. It's a simple addition to any bag and a huge quality of life feature for anybody that does traveling for work. 3- the shoulder straps feel like they came off a $15 backpack from Walmart. They are very thin with no extra support material whatsoever. At this price I would have expected thick memory foam or neoprene style straps for comfort and these were a huge let down. They just don't match the quality of material that the rest of the bag has. Bonus- the overall size just isn't that big. For a 17" laptop bag I would expect atleast 15% larger to accommodate the laptop and everything else a 17" laptop bag might want to carry. Overall, pretty disappointed for the incredibly high price tag and already found a bag of similar quality with far more quality of life features for 1/6 the price. You are clearly paying for the name with this one👎

Great look, light, and versatile
I have owned many Tumi bags, and while they do last, many of them are somewhat stale and also very heavy. I was looking for a slim bag that looks professional, is expandable, and has many areas to store cables and office supplies needed for travel while also being light and comfortable. I am very satisfied with my B&R backpack as it achieves all of those items and seems to be very durable as well. All for about $200 - $300 less than the equivalent Tumi bag which I personally don’t think looks any better either.

Briggs & Riley reliable as always. Lots of pockets and compartments that's actually functional. Seems like common sense, but it's amazing how some brands have pockets that's too tight so you can't easily slip your hand in or zippers that doesn't glide smoothly. Padded comfortable straps, sturdy but light material, classically stylish and understated. Easy access divided compartments: Separate zipped space for laptop as well as tablets. Two generous front pouches (I put my 600mls water bottle in one and electronic knickknacks, pens etc in the other). A front top zippered pocket for keys, lip balm etc. A hidden padded zippered compartment on the strap for wallets, phones, passports etc. Then you have the main compartment that you can extend for whatever else you wish. I have a Samsonite backpack for work, which I also like, but the front pocket has very limited tight space - my fingernails always seem to catch on it, and the side pocket was too small for my water bottle. So I have been eyeing this for a while and snapped it up when it was on Prime deal as it was a steal!

So, my current bag is a Tumi, but it’s heavy and gets surprisingly full quite quickly. Tried a Samsonite but quality really wasn’t there - then I saw this…. PERFECT!! Quality of materials and zips is very good indeed. Feels strong and very well made! Definitely built to last! It’s not the ballistic nylon of Tumi, but it’s not far off! Bag feels light enough and I absolutely love the fact it has an expanded zip that gives you just that bit extra when you need a few extra files, books, or even as I do, my travel coffee mug!! There is even a compartment at the front for a water bottle if you need it, and a zip compartment in the back to safely tuck away travel tickets or passport! Really happy with it and decent price for where it sits on the quality scale!

I've been using the Slim Expandable Backpack daily for work and short travel, and overall, I'm really happy with it. The material feels high quality and the compact design is perfect for everyday use. I especially like how it expands when needed it can surprisingly hold a lot without looking bulky. One small issue I've noticed is the top part of the bag tends to crumple a bit, so I often have to pull it into shape. It's not a big problem, but it does take away slightly from the clean look. Other than that, it's a great backpack-versatile, durable, and stylish. Definitely worth considering if you want something compact and functional.

This bag is lovely. It had a lot to live up to, replacing a trusty laptop and work accessory bag that had served me well for 8+ years but was starting to look a bit tired. There are lots of practical pockets and compartments suitable for storing a laptop, iPad, mouse, charger(s), cables, pens and pads and handy pockets for attaching things like keys, so you don't lose them. If it helps, laptop is 15" and iPad is 12.9" and they fit comfortably. Materials seem durable and of a high quality and there are lots of nice little flourishes and details that elevate this from something that is purely functional. There are cheaper alternatives out there, but for quality and aesthetics, this feels like a purchase that will stand the test of time and so worth that extra investment.
