I combine Indigo in a 2 step process with Henna from the same brand and my greys are banished naturally. You have to be patient with this process though and perseverance is a must. I had probably 50% greys especially on the scalp area. I applied Henna and Indigo every week for 3 months persistently! I don't like just washing it off with water. So the process took a bit longer for me I believe. However once indigo starts to work on chemically dyed hair, it's pure bliss! I apply Henna soaked in hot water overnight on unwashed hair (lazy to wash prior to treatment) for 1 hr , rinse it out with plain water, then immediately on damp hair I apply Indigo keep it for 3 hrs and wash it off with the Drunk Elephant Shampoo. I guess any mild shampoo will work. When I left the Indigo unwashed with a shampoo I never liked that feeling and besides I used to get headaches, maybe for the smell. But, this new process works like a charm and I also could see this washing off with a mild shampoo after 3 hours makes the Indigo work better on greys actually! Now, I colour my hair only once a month on my new greys! It's a hard task getting the Indigo to work but once it starts working there is absolutely no looking back. Also, the hair fall has improved so much, thickness and the condition of the hair is absolutely stunning! I'm a natural hair colour convert and now trying it on my mum who has probably 90% greys!

I have a very severe allergy to hair dye so i have been using Henna & Indigo for over 15 years to enhance my dark hair and cover my grey. This was the 1st time that i bought this product because the normal brand I use was not available. I coloured my hair with Henna first and i had a lot of orange streaks where it had coloured my grey. I then made up the Indigo as per the instructions on the back of the packet. I had it on my head for 1 hour and when i washed it off there was little to no change in my hair colour. I then tried it again and this time I left the Indigo on for 3 hours (which is 3 times longer than I normally need to have it on) and again there was little change in my hair colour. I was just about to go on holiday and i had to go with bright orange streaks on my head. It was awful. When i got back, I made up more of the powder and applied it for a 3rd time and I left it on for 4 hours again with no change to my hair colour. Unfortunately, i’ve been walking about with Orange Henna coloured hair which I am so self conscious about. I’ve contacted Amazon and I will be returning what is left of the product. I am so disappointed in it. I am very experienced in using Henna & Indigo. I know how to mix it and how to apply it. Sadly, i cannot recommend this product and will be waiting for my usual make to come back in stock then I will be buying a few of them.

I was abit scared to use it at first but when I did It did give abit of the dark color whne I mixed it although I didn't use it as it says ont he packet I mixed it with henna and still beautiful colour
