I’m quite pleased with these tools. Cut through 5oz veg-tan like soften butter. Good product good value.

These are great. They work as intended and will not fail you as long as you keep them sharp.

I bought this set mainly to try the flat blade knife. I had been looking at them for a while and didn't want to spend a lot of money and discover that I don't like that style of knife. I absolutely love the style. It's easy to work with. It's very versatile and easy to sharpen. The problem I have with it is that the blade dulls quickly. For the price I spent I didn't expect premium quality so I by no means regret my purchase. Yes, I adjusted the handle slightly which is why it is darker than what was delivered.

I have been using these for a couple of months to give an accurate review. I have been very pleasantly surprised at how well these inexpensive french edgers have worked. They arrived reasonably sharp, but I put a razor's edge on them. Now I just strop them with green compound after each use and they have maintained that razor's edge. They glide through every leather I've tried them on, including Crazy Horse oil tanned that my standard edger won't work on at all. I rarely use them on edges, as I use my straight knife for that. But they worked fine for that when I tried them on it. I use them to thin out 7-8 leather down to 4-5 for wallets and notebook covers. It's a bit like mopping the floor with a toothbrush on a large piece of leather, but they give me a clean, even cut so it is still a net gain in time. Best of all, I do not have to replace expensive razor blades with these. Just clean and strop them and put them away. They are well-balanced and easy to hold and work with. Overall, great quality for the price. I would highly recommend this set.
