Hands-Free Cleaning from Now On
My wife and I live in a 70m² flat, with half of the area carpeted, including the living room and bedrooms. My wife keeps the house very clean, typically vacuuming 3-4 times a week with a stick vacuum. I didn't have the chance to start using our new robotic vacuum until this week. So far, I have tried several functions, including: 1. Multi-floor house mapping 2. Clean Genius mode 3. Deep cleaning mode My wife and I believe we will be hands-free from now on. Here are a few observations: 1. The mop extends intelligently when the robot reaches edges or dead areas. 2. The mop lifts when the robot cleans the carpet, preventing it from getting dirty. 3. The robot can measure distances precisely and navigate through very narrow passages. When it encounters a low-height area or obstacles, it stops, assesses the situation, and tries different paths. With the app, you can control the robot remotely. I asked it to clean our home while I was in Greece earlier this week, and my wife confirmed that the cleaning was excellent. The design of the station and the robot is aesthetically pleasing, serving as a decorative addition to our flat. This is my first robotic vacuum, and overall, we are extremely happy with it. It's a fantastic product for any household, even if you have a heavily carpeted home.

Dreame L20 - Game changer!
This is my first robot vacuum. So I haven't had any expectations as I didn't know what to expect. My was on a fence between Dreame L20, Ecovacs T20 and Roborock S7/S8. There weren't many reviews for L20 and price wise it was in the middle of the pack. Feature wise they are very similar. I heard Ecovacs app is not the best and Roborock was couple of hundred more so I went with Dreame L20. I'm not disappointed, works great, no issues or it being stuck. Feels solid, works fine, good... Really good battery life. I have a 2 floor house and it's not a problem to carry it upstairs and let it work there. On a daily basis it vacuums whole downstairs and mops every second day. I read on reddit some complains from people about it but I didn't experienced any of it in the past 2 months I had it. If I had to nitpick I would say the app is a bit clunky. Everything is there and can be set up but it's not the cleanest or easiest experience. But it shouldn't discourage you, app works without issues just the UI especially options is a bit fragmented and all over the place.

So far it's simply amazing !!
Just wanted to write a very quick review of the L20. Only had it a few days but so far I can't fault it. It took 4 hours to throughly vacuum and mop 8 large downstairs rooms in my house and made a far better job of it than I could. This must be the best vacuum and mop robot on the market ....it's brilliant !!. I'll write another more in depth review in a month or so....hopefully I will be just as impressed. ...................................................................... 5th April 2024...Update.... Just wanted to report back after using this robot for a while now. It's still doing a great job of cleaning all our rooms downstairs .... it's remarkably thorough and is smart enough to know when something that got in the way during it's first cleaning sweep has been moved and the area can now be accessed. Not sure I have any negatives to report at this stage at all...just very impressed...in fact thinking about buying a second unit for upstairs.....which would run on the same app apparently. Update...17th April. Have now purchased a 2nd unit for upstairs. Really like how the app accommodates multiple units and saves each map separately. Not had both robots running together at the same time yet....will look into that as a possibility!!..:-) It really pays to spend the necessary time to understand the app properly ... definitely the key to getting the best out of this robot.

Read this before spending money
Edit after 2 weeks of usage: today while I was eating breakfast, I dropped my spoon in front of this piece of garbage, then, and i promise this is thr truth, I watched this stupid object try to navigate the spoon I picked up and washed, for 30 minutes. Yes, you read correct, thirty minutes this dumb matching tried to dodge an object that wasn't there for more than 5 seconds....... Total garbage Edit, after 1 week of usage: so I still think this machine is bad: 1) even though it has higher suction, because of its clumsy AI it misses a lot more than the L10s. 2) even though it has the mop extension, because of the clumsy AI it misses WAY more edges then the L10s, also when it tries to go round a furniture leg it avoids the leg by about 10cm, the L10s would literally hug the legs of my chairs without scratching them, the L20 is garbage in comparison. 3) I will confirm again, the L10s took 19 minutes to clean my office, for the last 2 weeks, the L20 has taken between 25 to 38 minutes..... I have no idea how I got the reading of 38 minutes.... Save your money, the L10s Ultra is EASILY better than this. I have 2 more weeks to return so I will continue to play and review, and as it stands I am going to return this L20 Ultra and buy another L10s Ultra! This is terrible!!! I am not including photos because the aesthetic of the machine is irrelevant. I have bought the Dreame L10s Ultra, and I have bought the L20 Ultra Complete....... Now, while if you have never had one of these machines before the L20 Ultra complete may be a life changing experience, let me tel you about REAL World functionality. The L10s Ultra is faster, less clumsy and cleans my whole office in 19 minutes. The L20 Ultra, is more noisy, slower, and cleans my office in 36 minutes. This is exactly the same space, same furniture, same animals, same pet bowls. The L10s while it has less suction, it's attention to detail is WAY better than the L20, the L10 gets in really close to things, even scuffing itself if needed, but it gets the job done much closer to the edge, the L20 has this mop extend technology, which only activates once a week unless you change the setting, so that means 6 times a week the L10s is going to by default give you a tighter clean. The L20 has way more effort put into the AI recognition, which in reality, sucks ass, because it spend a long time avoiding things that aren't there, for e.g, i watched my L20 go round a feather from a duver 7 times before it decided it could suck it up. The L10s Ultra, does NOT have as good a suction, it does NOT have as good a battery life, does NOT come with as many free accessories....... But I'll tell you one thing for free, it is WAY WAY better than the L20, £1100 for L20, £699 for the L10s, if you want an honest comment and review: I am going to refund this L20 Ultra Complete, and rebuy an L10s Ultra at half the price, because it is faster, more accurate and general much nicer to use! That's an HONEST REVIEW FOR SOMEONE WHO HAS BOTH! GET THE L10S AND SAVE £500

Best in class, "Dobby" is a house elf that will not be getting his freedom anytime soon!
Mops and hoovers better than I do - "best purchase I've ever made." To top it off, when he finishes his cleaning session, he empties his internal dust repository, empties his dirty water, washes his mops and gives me a pretty hands off approach to cleaning my entire downstairs! The only improvement - other than attaching "Dobby" to mains water, so the water changing is entirely hands free - would be to change its internal replaceable bag system to a reusable plastic container. Fantastic piece of kit - we use him every day, our house has never been cleaner and my feet have never stayed on the sofa longer. It's not cheap but it is worth it. If you get the chance to buy below retail price, do it. You won't regret it.

Good overall but lots of little areas need improvement
This a good robot overall - clever extendable mopping arm, very powerful suction and (mostly!) hands-off operation. However there’s many small areas that let it down, leading to a bit of frustration. Firstly the robot has failed to dock a number of times in the first few days we’ve had it. Despite having headlights to illuminate its path it seems to fail to dock more so at night when it’s dark. This means the cleaning cycle doesn’t complete - pretty annoying to come downstairs in the morning to find a scheduled cleanup hasn’t run. Maybe this can be improved with a firmware update. If not this may be the one shortcoming that makes us return the robot and choose another brand. Battery life is good however it returns to charge at 15%. This seems too conservative and means more trips back to recharge. I’d like to see this changed to be 5% or max 10% (or made user adjustable). We have a 50/50 split hard-floor and carpets. Capet vacuum performance is impressive, however in the app it’s clearly an afterthought compared to the mopping functionality - confusing “carpet detected” messages in the app, if the entire room is carpet instead of the app automatically assigning it as such you have to draw a big carpet square over the whole room. Hopefully this can be addressed in a future app and firmware update. The app is comprehensive in its feature set however many areas need some polish, both in UI as well as English translation quality. We are still undecided if we’ll keep this robot. It does a very good job of its core tasks of mopping and vacuuming but there’s a number of disappointing letdowns, principally its failure to dock on a number of occasions.

An almost perfect robot vacuum!
I’m writing this review after using the product for 8 months, and overall, I’m very impressed. It’s a sturdy, reliable device that has genuinely saved my family time on household chores. Setup was quick and simple thanks to the user guide, and it comes with plenty of accessories—though to be honest, we don’t use all of them regularly. The companion app is surprisingly advanced, letting you customize schedules, cleaning modes, and even suction/mopping power. Noise levels are also reasonable; it’s noticeably quieter than a standard vacuum. The only drawback I’ve experienced is occasional connectivity issues, which I usually resolve by restarting my WiFi router. Aside from that, it’s been excellent. If you’re considering a robot vacuum, I’d definitely recommend this one.

The ultimate in robot vacuums
Yes, it's incredibly expensive. Yes, it's probably far too expensive for most people. But is it worth that unbelievably high price? Well, firstly, looks: It does look amazing. Sure, you don't but a vacuum for its looks (!), but it certainly helps that it's a smart looking unit. And this is even more important as the base unit is HUGE. You need at least a meter clearance in height to be able to open the top of the base unit. And for something that you can't easily hide away in a corner, looks are therefore important. 10/10 for looks. Suction power: According to the stats, there are other robots on the market that have more suction power. However, I guess the old tale of 'it's not how big, it's what you do with it' rings true - as this has the perfect balance of suction vs battery life. It picks up everything it needs to on hard floors - and on carpets, it's great for the regular clean (but you'll still want a manual vac to do deep cleans). Noise: This is sooooo much quieter than my previous robot van (from another manufacturer). It's also not because the suction is less, because it isn't - the suction on this was double the old vac I had. I assume the tech has just improved. It's now possible to run this around the house in the night without waking anyone up. Bonus! Battery Life: No issues here. And to be honest, battery life doesn't matter with this unit. As long as it's clever enough to go back and charge when it needs to and restart automatically, then it's not an issue. It's a robot - the whole point is to leave it to get on with the cleaning, so if it recharges every hour, it doesn't really make a difference to the user. Smart detection: Our previous vac was stupid. Many times it had joyfully seen the cats had had an accident, and spread it far an wide (yuk!). No worries with the L20 - there is a button to toggle on the app that says 'Pet Owner'. This then tells it to be extra careful with pet accidents, and avoid like the plague. And so far, it's done exactly that. I'm now not worried about this. Mopping: It has two circular spinny mops. It can lift them when you don't want the floor to be mopped, or you can tell it to go back to base, drop them off, and go back out to vacuum. I personally set it to vac and mop at the same time (the mops are at the back, so it mops the floor that's just been hoovered). And judging my the colour of the waste water, it does an incredible job. When the mop heads get dirty, the robot goes back to base, cleans them, and then goes back out to continue mopping. At the end of the mop, it does the same process, but it also dries the mops - so they don't sit there, stagnating. The arm the mop is on also flicks out, so it can mop right up to the edge of the floor, without the robot body scraping along the skirting. I can't stress how well this mopping feature works. You have to top up the large water tank every couple of days - and empty the dirty water at the same time. BUT there is an option to plumb in the cold water tank, and the dirty water tank - and although I haven't done this yet, I will do. App: No crashes so far - so it seems stable. It's not exactly designed by Apple - so the UI is a little clunky, but really, that's such a minor point it shouldn't be on your radar. You can choose to clean the whole house, a room, or specific zones. It takes a while to get everything setup, but once it's done - it's really super easy. Summary: I love this thing. It just works well, and does what it promises to do efficiently, quietly, and to a high standard. I'm not a 'professional' reviewer - I paid full price for this robot - and I would totally recommend it to anyone who is looking for a unit to vac and mop. Is it worth the price? If you value your own time in any way, then yes, it's totally worth the price.
