Perfect
I bought this to be part of a custom set up that I use for hiking. I use it as a cross-body belt which I hook onto two 8 foot beta materiel drag lines that are attached to the dogs. It allows me to be hands free on hikes, to use my trekking poles or take pictures without worrying about dropping the leash. I am a large person and this goes around me with about 2-3 feet to spare. The many anchor points make it easy to not only customize the length around my body or other objects but I can also clip in some extra things like a bear bell and the poop bag carriers. I don't use the padded handle piece. I initially placed it at my shoulder but it didn't stay in place very well so I left it off. So far It has been holding up very well to almost daily use on hikes long and short with two 30 pound dogs attached.

Great leash... with a minor modification..
Ok so this is the first review I’ve felt the need to write in awhile. I’m giving it 4 stars not because it is good, but because you can make it good. With a tiny amount of DIY.Like most of the other reviewers say. The carabiner on the end that connects back to the leash is absolute garbage. In the “no but forreal” kind of way. I honestly can’t believe Kurgo put this out with that trash on it. It straight up isn’t functional with it. Within an hour of receiving I had cut it off with a dremel and gone to the hardware store to purchase a replacement. The good news is.. that works perfectly. The loop that attaches to the carabiner is wide enough that I just popped on a 250lb steel carabiner from Lowe’s. It cost me round about 2$.The best part of this leash over other leashes of this style is the loop system. You can truly do about anything with it. The loops make it so that you can make the leash as long or as short as desired. Which for me is perfect as I have a puppy in training. It’s also much easier to use round the waist because it’s essentially adjustable.Other reviewers have mentioned that it’s not long enough to actually use messenger style (over the shoulder). Which is true..ish. The fact is that there is too many variables. The height of the person. The width of the person. The height of the dog. The amount of acceptable length of lead for your pup. If you are a tall person and a short dog. You’re going to need a leash extension. They could have made it longer and it would have worked for everyone, but it would have become annoyingly long if you were trying to use it as a short leash. I honestly prefer it the length it is for one reason. Using it messenger style I like being able to add a “shock absorbing” leash extension. I don’t like those most of the time but I do when I use it like this. The leash might be a bit on the heavy side for the really tiny pups out there. I have an approximately 8lb CKC Spaniel pup. The pup has no problems with the weight, but the wife thinks it’s heavy? Not sure how that works, but I’m being honest here. The reflective material runs the length of the lead and seems to work just fine. I have no issues with the quality of the fabric or even the hook bit that attaches to my pups collar. It’s just the carabiner on the other end that’s garbage. The last thing I want to mention is the pad that is included for the ‘handle’. I hate it... unless I’m using it messenger style. Then it’s better than not having it. Using it as pictured as the handle part on a normal leash is awkward as all get out. It just bunches up and gets in the way.Why give it four stars if I’m hating on it so much? I honestly like the leash a lot.. the loop system is great. They just dropped the ball on production. If you are willing and able to cut off the carabiner and replace it. I’d say give it a go. If not there are certainly other 6 in1 leashes out there, but for the cost of this leash and a 2$ carabiner this one is still cheaper than most of the others. The pad is a gimmick, but is decent for your shoulder messenger style. If you never plan on using it messenger style just pitch it.

My Go-To Leash For Years
This will have been my second Quantum leash. My first one I used for over 3 years with both my great dane service dog (110 lbs) and now the second one (in purple) that I'm using with my lab mix (101 lbs). Both are great quality with a multitude of ways to use it. I have a genetic connective tissue disorder, and this leash allows me the freedom to control my dog in a way that is both comfortable and safe for both of us. The loops are great for hanging equipment off of (like a treat bag or poop bags or even a collapsible bowl) while still being lightweight and adaptable to whatever situation I find myself in.

OK, not great. Quality is questionable.
Our dog pulls like a mule. Trainer recommended a waist leash to be more hands free (less pulling back on my part) and so I'd have better control to plant myself and stop him. This one was pricier that the others she recommended but was easier to put on/take off and importantly wasn't bungee. Plus I trusted the Kurgo brand.And... it's okay. Not great. We've had it a few months and use it pretty regularly a handful of times a week for short walks. I'm 5'2 and a size 4, he gets about 3-4 feet of length on it by the time I wrap it around my waist. Which is plenty for our purposes but might not be enough if you're bigger depending on what you're doing (when my husband wears it the dog gets nearly no leash, and he not like linebacker-sized).It's kind of fussy with the clip to put on, I wish it was just a waist buckle I could leave set all the time. But it's nice to have the easy adjustability, I guess. My main gripe is the quality doesn't seem great. The clip to buckle it around my waist, the carabiner type part, has somehow turned itself inside out a few times, I'll be walking and the leash just falls off into my control hand as if it was never wrapped around me. Thank goodness dog has never bolted. I can probably replace it with a locking carabiner at some point, but I shouldn't have to.And the fabric is already fraying in a concerning number of places. I don't think the loops I use most often are going to hold much longer, which is going to be a pain; I'll either have to wear it too high or too low or find a reliable way to reattach them.We have other Kurgo stuff and it's durable as could be, I'm not sure what happened with this leash in particular, but reading reviews that seems to be a common gripe. So my take: it's great for light training in a controlled setting, or for a dog who is a reliable walker and doesn't bolt or pull too hard. It's fantastic for dogs who don't like feeling leash pressure (it's very light; our other leash is much heavier and I think our dog doesn't like that feeling). I wouldn't trust it to help with a very strong dog who's prone to taking off just because the clip is so unreliable. And I'm less than impressed with the general durability.

Gut Funktionierende Leine
Leine funktioniert wie beschrieben.Nur der Karabiner ist ein wenig schwierig im hüft Bereich zu befestigen.Der Stoff an denn reflektierenden Streifen hat sie schon gelösst aber nur am Rand.

Favourite leash
This is my 3rd of these leashes. They're great! I love that you can tie it around your waist, or make a handle. I really like them to walk my intense border collie. The negative points for me are:- i wish the carabiner would be more simple and sturdy (didn't need to have a bottle opener in it...it's more of a nuisance i'd say)- my border collie chewed the nylon fabric on one of my leashes and broke it... that could be improved.- the handle has an added layer to make it more comfy to hold, it's great in winter, but wayyyy too hot any other season (it's a fleece type fabric i'd say) and makes my hand overheat. So that could also be improved.
