Wonderful watercolor instruction book on a variety of subjects. Provides full illustrations step by step and solid instructions for each subject matter. Excellent book.

This is the second book of Harriet's I have purchased, the other was an E Book. This book has lovely examples of many of the things I enjoy painting. I don't think I could have coped 12 months ago when I began watercolour, but they are ideal with a little experience. I just love it! It is perfect to pair with her You Tube Channel which has full tutorials on.

This is the second book I have purchased by Harriet De Winton of de Winton Paper Co. It is a beautiful book filled with delightful narrative, detailed instructions, and beautiful paintings that span a year of seasons. She uses multiple step by step demonstrations for each painting. Her demonstrations are clear and concise and enable me to paint lovely renditions of her paintings. I love all of the foliage, florals, and natural elements found it the book. However, I particularly love the landscapes. These are new to this second de Winton watercolor book. (Her first book is equally wonderful. It is called Modern Botanicals. I strongly recommend it, too.) All this to say, I give this book my highest recommendation. I am a student artist, and I have found this book is a great tool in my artist's tool kit. One more recommendation, Harriett has a marvelous social media presence. You can paint with her on her dewintonpaperco youtube site. You can find her on Instragram and Patreon as well. Exactly what I was looking for! Beautiful, step by step, clear instructions on how to paint with the watercolours especially for a novice. It explains the materials, painting techniques, choosing colours. I only got this book because I wanted to learn how to paint my favourite peacock butterfly. I’m so happy with this book. The author is such a talented artist! I would love to try out some of the other books. This book would make a truly beautiful present for someone at any age.
