A little bit goes a long way with this perfume - 1 spritz is all you'll need, just rub it around. The post describes the scent as "notes of lychee, bergamot, and raspberry, easing into a heart of Turkish rose, vanilla, musk, incense, and sandalwood, and drying to a base of cedar, amber, and Haitian vetiver." I had to get my husband's feedback on this as well to determine what each of us thinks it smells like. The notes of sandalwood, cedar, incense, musk, dried rose and vanilla are what I pick up the most. My husband likened the smell to that of when we do woodworking and the woods are releasing those deep trapped oils. So this is definitely an earthy, warm scent. It's not off-putting at all, everyone who I had sniff it does like it (and I tend to go for bright and fruity/floral like Clinique Happy). I don't wear perfume often because I can't wear scents to work, but this will definitely become part of my date night routine.

This is so good. Sawalef is extremely underrated brand. I have to say that it’s not for everyone , only for people who can appreciate fine art of Arabian perfumery. And if you’re new to that world do yourself a favor and start here. You’re in big surprise. A very pleasant one.

Its mesmerizing scent, draws you in every time. It hits your nose and makes you want to go back for more stimulation of the senses. This heavy long lasting elixir has a multi layered and complex scent profile which give you hints of lemon, cinnamon, tobacco, and Turkish rose. The best way I can personally describe the scent by comparison, it would be a cross between YSL L'homme crossed with Azzaro Wanted by night with a hint of Van Cleef Arpel's First. This is definitely a night time fragrance for me personally, for a special event, dinner, or night out on the town. The scent peaks hard then pulls you back with a fruity undertone, which resets your senses so you can experience it over and over again. Worked well with my skin chemistry and look forward to wearing it more in the near future. I think the "Majestic Amber" name is very fitting for this fine fragrance. Made in U.A.E.

I have several of the Sawalef line. The Sawalef Oud is very nice quality but you MUST like Oud. It is a dryer oud, more masculine, as the name implies oud. This one for the reasons above is will use for layering and sparingly. I do not think this is an easy reach all day anywhere fragrance. Special Occasion appropriate for those that appreciate oud fragrances.
