I am a professional embroiderer and this is an honest, unbiased review. The quality of these threads is good. They are comparable to high end cottons such as DMC, Anchor. There is a good selection of colours which are more than adequate for various types of embroidery. You get dark medium and light shades of each colour. However, you don’t get the same variation in shades as you do with high end cottons. This is not a major issue for most people. The colour numbers do not match DMC or anchor so if you were using these for a specific project, you will not get exact colour matching. Apart from that, I have absolutely no criticism for these threads. There are no claims that they are the “ same as” any other brand. I have been impressed with these and would certainly use these for various projects. They have a beautiful sheen to them and have been a pleasure to use.

Good selection of colours. You get 3 of each colour, so 48 different colours in total. The numbers on the thread match the DMC numbering system (at a fraction of the DMC price). Also comes with needles, needle threader and a seam ripper. A good starter kit for someone wanting to try cross stitch and not spend a fortune. Just add aida and off you go. Threads stitch well and you can make lots of lovely designs with the colours sent. Picture of one I stitched with this review. Would definitely buy again.

What’s not to love?! Good quality embroidery thread at fraction of the high street cost (HobbyCraft sell these at 95p each!). Quick delivery, neatly packaged including needles etc. Colour codes included so there easy to re-purchase and match :)Only downside is there’s not a huge variety of shades - but it says this in the product info. If you need a lot of shades or pastels, it’s not ideal.

For the beginner this is great value. For the price you should not expect top quality, because that' s not what you get. But the quality is nice, the selection of colors huge, and for the cost-conscious, or the one who don't want to spend a lot on starting a hobby, this is a good deal. Needles are fine, the threader is... let's not talk about the threader, okay. Just buy another when you get to it.Note that there are not 144 colours - there are around 50 colors, 3 skeins of each, which gives you both a great selection and skeins enough of a single colour to create a decent sized piece.

The media could not be loaded. I was a little worried about purchasing so many skeins all in one go, I was afraid that they would all be horrible/unusable colours, but it couldn’t have been further from the truth!!! Just look at the colours I got!! I use embroidery floss to monogram my work shirts, and various other projects and it’s nice to have an array of different colours to choose from. It’s also much cheaper then buying the colours individually.I usually only buy “Anchor” thread; these threads are just as vibrant as those. I have already monogrammed a shirt with this thread and it’s just as good! The package also came with needles, a needle threader and a much needed pick unstitch.

Very quick delivery arrived within 2 days & nicely packed. I was a bit hesitant about buying thread on line because of the quality but I was pleasantly surprised, the thread is very good quality, there are 3 skeins of each colour yellows to orange, blues to purple, pinks to red, greens to brown, white, grey & black. the lovely thing about them is that they blend well going from a dark to light. I embroidered a flower & managed to blend 2 tones like a real flower, the thread is of a good quality & very good value, I won't hesitate to buy again if I need more.

I'm a beginner in embroidery but have already managed to create a variety of different projects using these threads. The quality is perfect for what I needed and they are packaged really nicely in a bag. There are 3 of each colour so you're not getting 144 different colours but there is a really great range. As I've progressed I've noticed that I could do with a better range of browns/golds but for beginners I definitely would recommend starting here. Lovely greens/blues/pinks - ideal for floral designs.

I bought this product for making friendship bracelets for charity. When I cut the lengths I needed they tended to unravel a bit at the end, but some colours unravelled a lot which made tying them off a bit tricky.Great selection of colours.Would buy again as good value for money for quantity received.
