2012 Dodge Ram Light

The 04-08 3rd brake light is unique, it forms over the cab, this creates a leak if the housing inevitably drys out and cracks. When my 05 f150 needed this light replaced I started looking around for an led upgrade. I prefer subtle improvements "could've been stock" appearance which many on the market are too "flashy". This is more subtle, this has a red housing instead of chrome or clear, bright 3rd brake light and a useful bed light. It looks like it could've been a factory light so it's low key, it uses 2 of the 3 plugs to install (make sure to test before screwing it down, they only work 1 way) I used the other cab light output for bed lights and puddle lights. Since it's a place prone to leaks I added some gasket maker to the base of the foam, the foam is thick so push down while driving the screws in. Final fit seems a little off with slight gaps but it's on top of the truck and not noticeable unless you're really looking for it (see pics). The gasket maker gave me peace of mind that the small gaps won't allow water to leak in. Looks great, does it's job, not loud and obnoxious, would buy again.

Great light looks great simple to install very much brighter than the old one I had. I had an upgraded one, but this is a lot brighter.

Just installed this light assembly last night. The fit and finish is OEM quality plus the tinted look goes so well with the truck. Really appreciate the flashing effect. So beneficial to grab the attention of drivers behind me. LED lights > HALOGEN bulbs.

Works perfect just cut 1 of the plastic mount pieces to fit it in properly and then put some silicone round the edges
