I was surprised by the 5 star quality of these candies. They're softish, chewy and delicious! They also come in a thick resealable bag so they're not likely to dry out before I finish eating and sharing them.

Bit-O-Honey is a wonderful old fashioned candy from WAY back! I remember loving it when I was a child, and that's 70 years ago! This candy is a survivor that has been around for about 100 years. Each piede is individually wrapped, making it perfect for Halloween and other occasions. I don't know about almond flavor though. All I taste is the honey. One nice feature is it doesn't go bad! I've eaten pieces of this candy that were 15 years old and they were still good!

I've bought the 2lbs bag once or twice, and the 5 pound bag twice. I've also purchased from at least 2 maybe 3 other vendors. The others arrived hard. One bag was hard like they were plastic. The Donty Tonty 2 pound bag comes in a zip style bag and melts in your mouth. The 5 pound bag does not have the zip lock but still....they were even softer! Bit-O-Honey. Brings back childhood memories. On a whim one day last week I purchased a tiny bag in the store for a small fortune. My husband and I quickly snarfed them up. Yummm. I had insomnia later last week and I thought to myself, ‘I should find more candy’. At 3 in the morning, who is open?? Amazon to the rescue! I purchased this bag and they were delivered in 2 - 3 days. I opened them up right away and I was delighted to find they are fabulous. The bag is huge and they are even fresher than what I got in the store last week. I sampled several, just to be sure, and none of them are hard, stale, or crunchy. They are just melt in your mouth, OH SO GOOD, creamy and buttery smooth! My only complaint is , now I am going to have to share them with my husband! I guess sharing is caring. I will not hesitate to buy again. Seriously.

This candy should be transported in a box. The pieces are smashed and some are stuck to each other and the paper is hard to get off because of it. The candy though is soft and chewy and delicious so that’s why I’m giving you 4 stars.
