The listing is not correct. We have 2 types of iDye natural and poly. The poly has to be boiled **Q: Will this dye thread?** A: Yes. It’s meant to dye polyester and most thread is also made of polyester. It would also dye cotton thread (but most likely your clothes don’t have cotton thread). But it may dye the thread a slightly different color than the fabric. I used it to dye a bathing suit and I was amazed that the dye got a very dee color on the material, living, thread, and even in the plastic clip closure. It worked really well!!! Has stayed even through years swimming and washing - but I had to buy a big pot and boil the suit in there to dye properly.
