L'Oro Del Sud CANTUCCINI WITH PISTACHIO BAG 800 G

Italian is "valido"! That should tell you everything. We live Spring and Fall in Italy and cannot bring enough cantuccinni back to carry us through Winter and Summer. Perhaps some people mistake the spices for hazelnuts. Definitely almonds.

It is a big bag of biscotti. The pieces are smaller-sized, which we find convenient. There are plenty of almonds and flavor. The biscotti are sweet like most biscotti and cookies. Considering the cost of other similar biscotti and cookies, these were a solid value for the money.

These are among my favorite "Cantuccini cookies". The problem is that Amazon has the bad habit to ship them in a simple brown paper bag with no padding, and they get damaged.

Taste good. Not too hard and very good dipped in desert wine.

My local grocer ran out of the Italian brand I've been used to getting (Isola). I looked for Isola online, but that brand only sells online through a third party that charges an arm and a leg for shipping. Amazon did carry one flavor, but in my search hear I stumbled onto this brand. I ordered one of each flavor plus an additional bag in the large econo-sized Almond flavor. As far as flavor of these compared to Isola is concerned, I cannot tell a difference. Price wise, these are a bargain here at Amazon. The only knock I have is that this company does not have the same kind of chocolate biscotti that Isola makes. On that front, my grocery store has restocked their shelves, and I now have several boxes of both brands on hand. One flavor that L'Oro hdel Sud has that Isola doesn't, is the pistachio. Excellent! Great to have two sources for the kind of biscotti I favor. I'll use the brick and mortar store - especially for the chocolate, and Amazon for the pistachio. Highly recommended
