This Vintage Disco Queen Took A Walk On the Cowgirl Side & Now Her Feet Are Riding Fatbaby(s) ;-)
Love these boots! Actually, I live in the northeast and resemble a cowgirl about as much as disco music resembles country music....you can see the similarities, right? This is my second pair of Fatbaby Boots. The first pair were purchased on a whim "gently used" from a seller on that most popular auction website that Ends in BAY. At the time I was looking for a sturdy boot to trudge through the icy, sloppy, new England winter in, not looking specifically for a "cowgirl" boot, but the price was unbeatable and I was curious. Here it is 2yrs later and it can be said that these boots are unbeatable and are still handsome to boot! They have been worn 5 out of 7 days per week for 3 seasons each year (would have been 4 seasons if I was 40yrs younger!). Most of my other boots and shoes are an 8.5 or euro 39. The Fatbaby boots I purchased on the auction website were an 8 and I was a little skeptical about the fit because I normally wear a size 8.5 shoe and can even go to a size 9 in a boot with thick socks on my feet. I have average width feet, not wide or narrow; I have a high arch and instep as well as a hammertoe on my left foot. (TMI?). However, the size 8 was perfect! So, I purchased these new Fatbaby Cowgirl boots in an 8, mostly because they were $20 less than the size 8.5 which I likely would have bought if the prices were the same. Once again, the size 8 fits perfectly right from the start, even in a brand new boot! These fit like a shoe approved by the American Orthopedic Association but look as fashionable (Wild?) as the Cowgirls that I imagine they were intended for! I wear these boots with medium weight wool blend socks. There is plenty of room for all my toes and there is no pressure across the top of my high instep or at the front of the boot across the ankle. I can not feel any of the seams or stitching the way other reviewers have written that they can. The back of the heel sometimes moves but does not rub or bind. The footbed is not like walking on a cloud. It is firm but comfortable and very supportive. The innersole is removeable and I can fit the semirigid type orthotics inside very comfortably if I choose to, but find orthotics are not necessary because the boot is very supportive in and of itself. The nonskid sole is not lugged and is not as thick as my first pair of Fatbaby Boots (which show absolutely no wear on the tread) but it does seem to be more than adequate. The shaft is soft and supple, not thick and rigid, fabric lined inside and suedelike finish outside. The height is just right on my leg under wool, corduroy, or denim pants. (I'm 5'6" and weigh about 140 lbs, size 10) The decorative stitching is lovely, the workmanship is high quality. The top opening is very roomy on me but I do have thinner than average calves. (Like I said, I'm no cowgirl) Great fit, Great fashion, Great performance, great price! These may be my second pair of Fatbaby Boots but I'm sure they will not be my last. Go ahead....take a walk on the Cowgirl side!

Comfortable in America / Styish in Ireland!
My 22 year old daughter wanted 'real' cowboy boots for Christmas and since she is a animal print lover, these were the perfect gift. Fast forward to March when she traveled to Ireland for an exchange class with her university. Funny thing they didn't tell her - it rains all the time in Ireland!! And - lo and behold - everyone wears animal print in Europe! She not only fit right in fashion wise, but the Ariats kept her feet dry the whole damp, chilly Irish spring! These boots were great for the walking she had to do as the support is awesome and the rounded toe was roomy and comfortable. They are the usual Ariat quality. A+ great! Even after traveling all over Ireland, they still look perfect! Easy to pull on, comfortable, durable and great quality. Another one hit out of the ballpark for Ariat!

nicely made
I use these boots to work in the garden and just general work boot for the ranch/farm. My last boot was the Gypsy line of another brand and liked what I read about Ariat's reputation for added foot cushion so I thought I'd give Ariat a try.. I've been wearing them in the garden for a couple of weeks and they are comfortable although I haven't noticed a drastic difference in comfort from the other brand. Size was true. I wear a 7 and that's what I ordered. Ariat runs a little more narrow on the top, side and toe of foot than Gypsy. I like the round-toe style as it gives my toes room to spread out. I don't know if I could ever wear a traditional toe again. When I have to replace these boots I will be torn between the Gypsy and Fatbaby. Both brands are good quality and fit.

Best work boot for me
I love this boot! I need a sturdy boot that isn’t to heavy. This is the 3rd pair I have bought. They last a long time. I wear this boot 6 days a week. They are comfortable and will mold to your feet. The last pair I got held up great. I wore them for 4 years. The leather is still good but the sole wore slick but after that much wear it is expected. The price is reasonable and I consider them the best work boot for my job. They are also nice to wear casually with jeans.

As comfortable as sneakers!
I've always gone for the comfort of a light weight sneaker and just dealt with all of the thorns and stickers that attack me while working on my property, walking the dog, etc. These boots are easy to wear all day working. You can run in them, too. The tops are soft enough that you can pull your skinny jeans over the tops and keep even more stickers out. Cute with jeans tucked in, too. Very easy to pull on and off. I have another pair in a different color that are the same size (6.5 M) but feel a bit smaller so this pair seems a little loose. I'll just wear thicker socks. They adapt to your feet well. If you hover between two sizes, go with the smaller one. I'm usually 6.5 or 7 and even the 6.5 is roomy.

Better than expected...especially for the price!
I recently moved to the country and was looking for an inexpensive pair of boots to wear around the ranch for a little more protection than sneakers. I have several others pairs of boots, including a pair of Ariat boots, and these seem to run true to size. I wear a size 9 and that is what I ordered. Since I have thinner ankles, but wiser calves, I tend to like an 8” to an 11” boot and these fit he bill. For lighter weather, these should do just fine (not sure how they’ll hold up in the winter months, but Northern California weather isn’t too extreme. I ordered the mini leopard print version with teal trim. They’re almost too cute for “ranch boots”. They seem to be nicely made, nice stitching and attention to detail. They did arrive smelling a little musty, so I gave them a 4 out of a 5...but I’m hoping they’ll air out a bit.

LOVE THEM! Best for wide feet!
So I did a lot of searching through reviews of just about every boot on the internet because I have REALLY wide feet. (So wide that if I did not get a shoe in a wide I would need a size 8 to fit my width but a 5 to fit my tiny length. nuts I know) And I was really afraid since I really couldn't find any in a wide that they would be way to narrow which is always my issue with boots. Not to mention I have really wide/large calves. Some other reviewers that said they themselves had wide feet said these were snug at first but after breaking them in they fit perfectly and comfortably. I really agree! They were snug when I first put them on and for the first two times of wearing them but after about a total of 15 hours of wear they loosened up and fit perfectly. Same for my calves no issues at all! Also they are much more beautiful in person then the picture shows. I love the coloring and they are just a really great boot! I am so happy with them.
