Arrived flat packed and the seats and top were already assembled. Unpacked it and gave it all a coat of decking oil before putting it together. All the screws are the same length (5mm hex wrench supplied) so no mix ups and all the parts fitted together quite well. Assembly is done upside down, is very straightforward but really needs two people when it comes to fixing the seats. You could prop one end whilst you do the other if you are on your own but if you are not particularly strong, you will struggle to turn the bench the right way up. In total, it took about 15 minutes to put together. Top tip though. Don't tighten the seat or leg screws fully until it is the right way up. Get someone to sit on each end of each bench to set them in position, then tighten the screws. When fully assembled this is a very sturdy picnic table and if someone bumps into it, you won't spill your beer. Umbrella hole a nice addition also. My only criticism, and I'm being picky here, there are a few screws where you cannot fully turn the wrench due to clearance so you have to keep taking it out and putting it back in. Also, the two underside braces have recessed screws which are actually too deep to do up with the supplied wrench. I used an impact driver with an extension and a hex bit for the whole thing. If you don't have access to such a tool, it might take you a bit longer to assemble.

I just had to take time to post this review. I am truly impressed with this picnic bench. First of all packaging is first class, item secure and protected. I did pay for delivery in two working days but received it next day. My husband is away, I am impatient and independent so had no hesitation is getting on with assembling it myself. I am small and by no means strong but it is very easy to do. Everything you need is supplied, every part fits together perfectly. The bolts are good quality. Each piece is well finished and all edges chamfered. All pieces are straight and square. There are no chips, scratches or splits. The bench is solid and sturdy and looks built to last and, although it is pressure treated, I also immediately oiled it to give some extra protection. I did a lot or research and visited a few garden centres to see what was on offer but everything is so expensive for what it is and anything of decent quality out of our price range by the time the garden centres have added their mark-up. I would recommend this bench without hesitation.

I had to return this. It's well made and as others say, puts together easily with just an allen key. However once constructed I found the bench seats far too low for me. I do have knee pain/problems so if you don't have that, it might not be an issue. The seat height was about 42cm. I have sat on other picnic benches without this issue and am now getting one elsewhere with a seat height of 50cm.

Absolutely fantastic, great quality, really solid and easy to assemble. I was expecting a box of parts but the seats and table part are already made so I just needed to put the legs and seats on. Honestly, we couldn’t be more chuffed with it.

I am really pleased with the quality of this bench. Good, solid wood (quite heavy and substantial - can't move it without two people really) and a good size - 4 people comfortably and 6 more cosy but fine. Lovely light colour. I had some problems putting it together where the bolts easily became cross-threaded. This could, of course, be the way I was doing it, but it happened with at least 4 of the bolts and I gave up and bought some long large bolts and nuts to secure it in the end. I doesn't really diminish my love of the bench, in fact I feel more proud of myself for having solved the problem, but it shouldn't really have been necessary.

This picnic bench only took a few days to arrive via courier. The box had a hole in it and one part of the wood was sticking out but there were no pieces missing and no damage. It's a very heavy, strong piece of furniture that is held together with large screws. The description says it's an 8 seater but there really isn't enough room on the actual table top to accomodate 8 people. It's perfect for 6 people though and the benches are very long. To make the furniture last, it needs to be treated with a protector of some sort. I will use Cuprinol to make it weather resistant and also give it a nicer colour that it's original colour. I also bought a water proof cover for it to protect it in the colder months. I would definitely recommend this picnic table if you want something sturdy.
